I think this guy is being hyped a little to much.

Says the GM who drafted Mike Conley.

Tough but fair.

Conley has a longer track record.  And he is rejoining Oden.

I dont think thats fair at all, Conley played very well in the NBA Randolph has yet to put up the numbers for a sustained stretch that Conley has in the NBA

anthony randolph is due for a breakout...question is when

Agreed & agree that the hype on Randolph might be a little high/early. Though I think he's moved ahead of Brandan Wright --- the overhyped GSW PF from last year's draft that Roy took (and tried to sell everyone on as the 2nd coming :D).

that said, when a great GM like WalkerWiggle takes someone I tend to take notice.

*THAT* said, WW, who plays where with Randolph and Bosh? Or was this a case of BPA (and we'll sort it out down the line)?

You mean a longer track record of poor to mediocre play and looking over his shoulder? But I agree that a moody Greg Oden needs all of the encouragement and support he can get, even to the point of reaching in the draft for his friends.

Holding their Rockateer helmets would be a good touch

Conley's averages last year were 10ppg and 4 assts. Randolph's were 8 PPG and 5 boards. Neither have proven much of anything.

WalkerWiggle is too good a GM to be fooled by summer league stats, y'all....

Randolph is, IMO, gonna be a very good player and his 2nd half stats (mostly as a starter) show he may be ready for a starting job as early as this season

compare them to Jason Thompson's --- another rookie PF we loved last year

That concludes this installment of ORLANDO: where pumping up other GM's picks happens.

actually he had 11ppg and 4 assists and 3 boards,(only two less than Randolph)  and Conley's performance got steadily better as the year went on
