Bulls are thrilled to get Rudy in the 5th. He's a great 3-point shooter, can drive, and plays tough D. He will be perfect for our running game. If he didn't play behind Brandon Roy, he would have been a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Though I didn't like your Wilson Chandler pick, I think this Fernandez pick really solidifies a really, really strong starting 5. Plus Chandler's a good gamble to come off the bench, if he doesn't improve at all he still brings a lot to the team.

Miller is a role player again on Portland whil he started on the Magics. Could that be the difference? Btw, is there a potential issue with Redd coming off the bench? Not sure he'd be willing to do that entering into the prime of his career (if the injury issue doesn't linger).

am i the only one who thinks Redd's prime was 2-3 years ago? I know he's only 29 but he looks 40.

He don't know about that.  He averaged 21 points per game last season.  He may be on the other side of his prime, but he's still an elite player.

Redd Avg 21 points per game in 33 games last year before he tore his ACL and MCL. (Same injury Tony Allen suffered a few years back.)

Yeah, but his game has never, ever been predicated on athleticism.  Even if he is a step slower (and I don't think he will be) he's still an amazing shooter and all-around scorer.

There are literally dozens of players in each of the four major sports who have come back from ACL injuries.  Tony Allen struggles because he sucks and he's a moron, not because of his injury.

FWIW, i've never liked Redd much and don't know that I've ever called him elite. He's a terrific scorer and out-of-this-world shooter who has driven me crazy vs. the Celtics, but his game is pretty one-dimensional IMHO.

Might be better with better players around him but I don't think he improves teammates' games like a Ray Allen or Allen Iverson (in his prime)

Favorite Redd Moment was during a game against the celts, Redd throws the ball up backwords goes off the glass and in, Tommy procedes to crack up and say, "I told you he was a scorer!!! Havent seen anybody do that since Cous!!"

IndeedProceed wonders why Roy keeps sporadically speaking in the third person.

I buy that assessment of Mikey Redd, he's a valuable piece.

I like Wilson Chandler, mostly because Donnie Walsh thinks he's a good piece of a foundation. Donnie Walsh seems like a smart guy.

This is probably a discussion for another thread, so I'll leave it at this: I'm not sold completely sold on Walsh.
