NBA TV analyst Rick Kamla reports that not only is Arenas currently in the best shape he has every been in while playing for the wizards but that he has spent the summer with former MJ trainer and the guy that got DWade back to form.  He is not done for untill the allstarbreak

This is an actual quote.

Quote
Flip Saunders told me yesterday that Gilbert Arenas' weight is the lowest in 5 years. Tommy Sheppard told me he totally trusts the knee.

Thanks, my darn internet at work blocks so much stuff i couldent get the quote

But what else are these parties going to say? This is the coach's superstar, whose employer pays 17 million dollars a year, saying what he is being told from Arenas' current trainer.

Well I guess maybe there is a Gilbert Arenas conspiracy for the purpose of giving out false information prior to fantasy drafts.  I just wish I got that memo before I drafted him ;)

I'm not saying it's a bad pick, ftr. Just that I don't think a quote from Arena's coach, whose getting information from Arenas' trainer is 100% reliable.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The Knicks select Vince Carter

Carter is a guy you have to like coming into next season. His own talent aside, he's really in a place to prove he's a solid player and shake the "disinterested' and 'selfish' labels. You gotta like picking guys who are in places that don't work against them *ahem Kevin Durant ahem*

Jameer was the guy I would've taken if I could've gotten a 2nd round pick...which is looking unlikely.

Anyone else thing being a good team is going to hurt RJ's value this year? Kinda like being on the C's hurt Ray Allen's production?

Or he's going to be hitting big shots on a bigger stage and it'll make him more highly regarded.

I dunno, RJs been stuck in no man's land - Milwakee (no offense to the fake GM) - for quite some time.  I think that getting some exposure on a very good ballclub will remind a lot of people of just how good he can be.

Nobody thinks Ray Allen is a better player than he was in Seattle. In fact, the first year he was here, people thought the jet had lost a step or two.
