I'm not sure where we stand, but I'm beating the drum for Celtic in Orlando to be awarded the Timberwolves' franchise prior to the start of the afternoon session.

He deserves it.

I like the nomination, but I think the rules in this regard were that a GM could miss a pick before being replaced.

What if this weren't a replacement? Can we name CIO co-manager of the Wolves until Fall Guy's status is resolved?

good trade for the both parties here, warriors move down but not to far and get a 4th round pick.  And Spurs get the best player.  Man that analysis was so obvious I think i could give madden and Buck a run for their money

Those decisions are up to Dons, but I think it may be too early to throw the rules out.

Again, though, I do think CIO would make a great manager.  I just wonder if we should give FallGuy awhile.

See what this trade means is that the Warriors are going to get the 2nd round pick #6 and the 4th round pick number six. That's two picks. One pick in the 2nd round, one in the sixth.

The Spurs only get one pick. They get a pick in the first round, number twenty four. What that means is that even though they send two picks to the Warriors, tehy get an earlier pick, which should be better. It should be better because they get to pick before the second round pick, or the fourth round pick.

if the rules say 2 picks missed...he should get his chance to make or miss his second pick. maybe something happened to him today. i would hate to yank his team if he had a legit excuse then he should be able to continue. if he misses his next pick then it will be Don's decision.

Like I said, KC has allowed me to work with him as a partner so it is ok...although I appreciate you guys looking out for me.

Good trade for both teams. Kings get depth and Bulls get a great 2nd option for CP3.

Is it okay to mock people in the chat room, then?  :P

Why is it off-limits to discuss trade value?  Could your motivation be that perhaps you don't want to get the label of a GM not to trade with, because the other side will get ripped off? ;)

well if somebody was willing to give up that much for the 21st pick I question their ability to make a sound pick at 21 so they trades may not compare that favorably

I think both parties over paid for their first round picks. For San Antonio it only makes sense if they waited until a pick or two before, because there was a guy they coveted still there. The reason I say that is that they only moved up 12 picks. A lot could happen in 12 picks, or it could make no difference at all, depending on who you want.

For Miami 2,2,3,5,6 for 1, 4,5 is not even value IMO. The 2,2 should be enough to get the single 1.

Miami definitely overspent.

Is that the label you got last yr? ;)  No my motivation is not to be cruel in this open thread and to have GM's quit.  Even though everyone's mocking of Charlotte's first trade helped me in the end (I wasn't involved in the trade, but CP3 fell to me). The chat room was a joke, but isn't as bad if you want to do it there.
