Tough decision there.  Decided to get a quality big while I could. Might be a little high for West, but I like his game and he's a solid team presence, relatively young, and can give me 21 and 9 a night.

I don't consider a 21/9 All-Star power forward with great intangibles a reach here.

He was 5th on my board for this round, so  nice pick.

Also one of the few guys in recent memory to go into the stands and attack fans ;)

although I do have to admit my mind is kinda clouded by that mixed with the fact that he plays in golden state.  I was not aware he was putting up such good numbers so I withdraw my statement, good Pick Nick

True. And while there's no defense for that --- most said he did it b/c he always has his teammates' back. I'd prefer he had, i don't know, shoved someone like Vujacic after a foul to prove that or something. But by all accounts he's been a great leader in Golden St.

I like the pick in general -- he also has a ring (that Duncan said they wouldn't have won w/o him) from his days with the Spurs -- but he does play the same pos. at Kevin Martin, the Boxers' first pick.

The only problem with AI2 is that he's not much of a shooter.  Great player, though.

We've got two names here, but we're going to go with the one who was a matchup nightmare and who proved to be super-clutch:  Rashard Lewis.

You can't go wrong with shooting.

Ya, I was debating between him and another player with more range, once he gets picked I'll say who. At the end of the day I think Igoudala is a more solid point scorer, and I don't pick again until late in the third.

Says the GM who drafted Iggy 26th last year. ;)

Honestly, I like both picks.

Yeah, I like him a lot.  I just remember how others criticized the pick.  After watching how he played with Brand in Philly, it does seem as though his lack of perimeter scoring hurts the team.

He absolutely thrives in a running offense, though, and he's hugely disruptive on the defensive end.
