The Seattle Supersonics select Theo Ratliff, center, University of Wyoming.

Oh, man, I'd hate to see who your other option was.  Raef LaFrentz?

Portland selects Jrue Holiday, the best defensive PG to enter the league since Rajon Rondo.

I needed a vet center who could rebound and block shots. There are not many left if at all, but Ratliff can start and give 15-20 minutes a night. I'm gonna roll Duncan and Bass frequently, and Ratliff can share minutes with Thabeet. It's not ideal, but none of the options here were ideal to fill this.

Solid pick. Doesn't make up for giving away rondo though. :)

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Portland selects Jrue Holiday, the best defensive PG to enter the league since Rajon Rondo.

That may or may not be true, but who are the other defensive PG's that have entered the league since Rajon Rondo?

I'd love to have him if I thought he'd actually suit up for more than half the games.

You mean Portland isn't interested in trading for him? There goes my plan. ;)
