Lee does a couple o1f Nike and SportsCenter commercials and thinks he's an allstar now? Put it this way; If Big Baby got as many minutes lst year as Lee, he would have better numbers. BBD is struggling to get a 5 mil a year offer, and Lee thinks he's worth 12??? Just because Andrew Hymen conned the Lakers into giving him 14 mil does not mean he can do the same. Especially in the Free Agency market before 2010.

No, he wouldn't.

Would likely match him in points, but be well behind in rebounds.

Lee is better then both Powe and Davis.

What's up with all the hate surrounding Lee? In my opinion he is a player that every team would be lucky to have. As was mentioned earlier, he was playing good ball before D'Antoni and will be only get better. While he is nowhere near a 12 million a year player, he is probably worth between 8-9 million. Nothing wrong with him asking for 12 mil and then "settling" for 9 million. All I know is if I had to choose between Lee, Davis and Powe I would have no problem picking Lee.
Carl: And, technically, he's supposed to be spayed, and uh, he ain't that. I know that first hand. Go ahead, ask me how I know. Go ahead. Ask me. Ask me how I know.

Agreed. He's not a 12 mil player a year guy yet though. No way. I almost spit out my drink when i saw the subject of this thread.

hahah he's delusional...

Although I suppose if Bryant "Big Country" Reeves once got a maximum contract, anything is surely possible.

why do people assume it was the system with Lee?  This is not his first double double season (and in the first he was actually a better rebounder on a percentage basis, he just played less minutes).  Lee was doing this before D'Antoni and he will do it after D'Antoni.  He is also still young.  12 million seems a bit high on first blush, but if Bargnani signs for 10 million, Lee is worth 12 million.

Rondo might have averaged 8-10 rebounds a game for the Knicks last year. Who else rebounded for them? Also, check out his game logs and check out his boards per game before and after they traded Randolph.

I want a date with Megan Fox. I think Lee and I are both not getting what we want.

I don't know Rebus, play your cards right and Megan might think your irresistible.

Oh, but Lee ain't getting 12 mill per year.

Yeah, wow. All it takes is one bone-headed team to give a guy a horrible contract.

Lee who?

Majors?  He's only worth 6 mil per year.

sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

BBD of the playoffs wouldnt perform just as well as Lee? I picture BBD having as many if not more points, and the rebounds would be close. BBD might not avg a double double, but 17pts and 8rebs are definitely do-able. Not to mention BBD's defense even though suspect at times, is MILES ahead of Lee. BBD has a wider and stronger base which allows him to play bigger post players better than Lee.

On top of that, Lee's numbers are inflated by the system he plays in. Everyone on his team chucks up ridiculous shots and he's the only one on his team that tries to rebound. BBD would surpass his rebounding numbers in Dantoni's system.

Wow. Blinded by the fact that BBD played for the Celtics much?

Davis isn't anywhere near in the same class as Lee.

If you go back to the 2 seasons before D'Antoni got to NY (pre his "system") Lee was already averaging 11pts, 9.5 rbds, 1.5 assts and shooting at a .575% clip. Davis and Lee are both PF's yet Davis averages 5+ less rebounds and shoots at a -.100%.

With Davis you're more apt to lean toward Eddy Curry with a jumpshot than a rugged, hustling young PF like Lee.

Souped up off of Lee much? I just dont think hes as good as people think, and his next team will prove that. Dont get me wrong i would take Lee over BBD everyday allday, but not at 12 mil. EVER! And I am not blinded by the fact that BBD played for us, because I like Powe a hell of alot more.
