Guess this is better than Orlando or Cleveland getting him.  Looks like the Spurs are going to give the Lakers all they can handle in the West this year.  Also, that means BBD is staying put for now.

Sweet... With the additions of Jefferson, McDyess and a healthy Manu, This Spurs team can now contend against the Lakers out west.

The Spurs have had the best off season so far this year.  Amazing draft picks, solid trade, and great FA pick up.  I think they are the favorites to win out West if Odom goes elsewhere, which may be the case.  I think they have the 2nd best starting 5 after us.

I still had the crazy hope that we could sign McDyess but this is good news for the Spurs and Dice. I really like this player and he will be a perfect fit in San Antonio. Their offseason has been great so far, they need another big man off the bench but if healthy they are going to be a serious threat for the Lakers.

Unless the Blazers make a push, Odom ain't going nowhere.

Does Detroit have any cap space left, or did they blow it all on Charlie V and Gordon?  I don't *think* they have the MLE available this summer, since they came into this with cap space.  Besides, I think they'll set their sights higher and try and pick up Boozer via trade.

So, I guess that puts an end to all the "McDyess is staying in Detroit, no matter what" posts, right?

Could we see Cleveland use it's entire MLE on Davis?

Well this is good because I like anything that makes it harder for the Fakers.

Go right ahead.  Baby doesn't scare me, not with the length that we've got to theoretically defend him.  How's he going to get his shot off against KG, Perk, and/or 'Sheed?

I think BBD helps us a lot if he comes back...  but I don't think he hurts us if we face him down the road.  He's more valuable in Boston than elsewhere.

I agree.  KG and Wallace could shoot over him all day.

But they don't have to use the MLE to get him.  So, they could get both.
