Nice article.  The cool thing is that all three guys believe in themselves.  I wish Doc would give them  some time on the court.

Too bad whomever wrote the article didn't recognize that two of Gabe's three pointers were hail Mary's at the end of quarters, and one was with the shot clock running down.  So, while he was not lighting it up from three, he really didn't shoot as bad as the stats say.

I wish they were ready to play. I am hoping Walker will be able to grasp enough D to get more minutes this year.

I legitimately think that Giddens, Walker, and Pruitt can all give some minutes. I think that pruitt is skilled enough to handle the point. Especially if he is playing with the big three (plus he can knock down an open jumper). Both Walker and Giddens can bring alot of energy into a game. Both are great rebonders and could thrive playing off of KG and Paul. If they show that they can play defense they could help the team suceed.

I know everyone wants veterens right now, but playing these younger guys could help us win and develop them for life after the Big 3

Pruitt is passive and looked intimimdated every time he was inserted into a game last season.

Giddens is seriously out of control most of the time. Yes, he scored some points against a crappy team in Summer League, but he seems to lack a go-to move, and looks like he doesn't know what he wants to do every time he gets the ball.

Counting on both for anything more than spot minutes this season is probably comparable to hoping O'Bryant can be our backup center.

If so we're in trouble, he's far to small to defend the bigger SF's in the league.

It will be like tony allen 2.0.

Yeah, one thing about Gabe I am not worried about is his 3 point stroke. He definitely has that going for him.

I agree with Giddens that we need one more young guy off the bench to spell the veterans.  Don't know if Giddens or Walker is the answer, but know that Grant Hill is not that young guy.

Thing is - I don't believe any of these little three will be on the Celtics in 2013.

I see Doc being a veterans coach and relying on Pierce, Garnett, RA, Rondo and Perkins more than you think. I also believe that veterans who have had their big pay day will be rotated in here looking for glories last shot. That is what Auerbach did back in the 60's and Ainge is following a similar philosophy signing up the 'Sheed. Last summer he missed out. I look for a trade of TA along with these prospects to bring in another quality Vet or two.

The thing is, that works for now, but for the future after the Big 3 are done we're going to need to bring in some other big names to replace them.  The only way we got the Big 3 originally was to trade off our young pieces and a lottery pick.  Without a year or two of mediocrity, we won't have those things to trade.

We're going to need to get lucky and try to sign a younger franchise guy or a couple of stars once the Big 3 have retired.  That won't be easy.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I really want to see Giddens playing alongside real NBA players. I think that's where his major value will come from. He's not a first option kind of guy, but a great energy guy who can facillitate, play defense, rebound the ball and jam the ball in peoples' throats.

I'd like to see him practice the corner 3, which I think he'll start knocking down with regularity eventually. I have little doubt about that, but he has to be put in that role.
