Talks about what we should be worried about with Rasheed... playing to far outside from the basket... What he brings... another big, more depth... it talks about Grant Hill's offer... the offer is MLE about 2.6 million and that geography is the only thing holding Grant back from signing here.

So wait would it be a sign and trade because we're giving the full MLE to Sheed.

Basically. Tanguay isn't so confident about Hill anymore. Tanguay should of quit while he was ahead with Sheed.

No it wouldn't... it just is wether Grant decides he wants to go to New York or Us for a chance at a RING!

That 2.6 million # might have been the Knicks offer. At least that's what I assumed. Mike-Dub might have heard it better. The point they were trying to make was that the difference in offers wouldn't be much, so it really comes down to where do the Hills want to be.

The MLE for 2.6 for 1 year is what the Knicks offered him to clear that up.

I'm sure our offer was the LLE for a year or two to Hill.

I think it was for 1 year because Grant is going to be 37.

Yeah, probably just a year, but who knows.  Grant might be asking for two if we're giving him less.

I have a question and this isn't just about Grant Hill:

What's to stop a team from offering a veteran a three year contract even though they only want to play one year as a way to pay them more?  They could cut him a year later and the 2nd and 3rd years would be like a deferred payment.

The player might not want to be trapped on a cheap contract.

They don't want to have the extra money from the players contract after they cut him.
