I never understood this pick by DA.  For the life of me I will never understand it.  For the love of God it be great to draft some length instead of swingmen and combo guards!

Mbah a Moute was the guy I wish Danny picked.

Honestly, I'm still sore over them taking Giddens instead of my boy Luc Richard Mbah a Moute.

Rondo and Giddens would make a fantastic FT shooting backcourt fwiw.

An awesome rebounding duo too. No sarcasm in this one though hehe.

The defensive potential for those 2 in the backcourt is off the chart. It looks like the timidness of last year is gone. Here's to hoping JR sticks this year. I was one of the few that was actually HOPING we'd draft Giddens. Now I'm hoping Danny holds on to him. Trade Walker if need be. He's the "Kedrick Brown" of this young group.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Actually, I'd like Danny to keep both.  I'm not ready to toss either aside when they both have potential with TA and Veal both dead weight on the team.  If Pruitt steps up his game to show he deserves the backup PG spot (I'm hoping for it but definitely not expecting it), that's even more reason to hold onto both Giddens/Walker since one less roster spot will be taken up.

I think he might be better than Walker.

It would be good if JR is better than Walker - since I think Walker is more appealing than JR in a trade for other GMs, and JR duplicates TA (so trading them together is harder.) If JR can simply be a good defensive player at the SG (with some ability to play SF and PG) he'd be a good fit as a reserve on this team. Defensive players can mature much later (e.g. Bowen) so have to consider that.

I've always liked Walker's approach.  He's not afraid of anyone out there and I think that's important when you're an up and coming young player focused on the defensive end.  Giddens looked pretty good last night, but that was an AWFUL game.  Nick Fazekas also hit a few threes and looked OK, so that tells you something.  Hudson hit a couple of jumpers and made some plays that showed why he scored so much in college, but these guys better be showing more in practice if they hope to steal a spot on this team.

Also, from what I saw, Leon Powe looks like a better signing with two bad knees than Robert Swift from last night.  Hopefully he shows something this afternoon if we are actaully planning on him playing ANY minutes.
