The full MLE you mean. Whatever team signs BBD is going to use the MLE to offer him a contract, the question is how much of it.

As much as I love the fact that the C's got Sheed, this has created a monster.  For the love of God, Gary Tanguay is NOT a good source!  He got lucky, and his hunch was correct, and all of a sudden he thinks he is Chad Ford.  And even if he is getting legit inside information, he destroys it by presenting it in such a condescending way.  He has me hoping that Baby signs with the T-Wolves, just to spite him.

I Prefer Felger over Tanguay anyway the guy is such a Hater but Hilarous to lisen too..

The Spurs just signed 6'10'' PF Marcus Haislip and they need to sign Ginobili to an extension, which makes it hard for me to believe they're going to give Big Baby a full MLE deal the Cs won't match.

As for Orlando, I'm not sure why they'd let Gortat go to Dallas and then sign Big Baby for essentially the same money.

The Spurs just signed 6'10'' PF Marcus Haislip and they need to sign Ginobili to an extension, which makes it hard for me to believe they're going to give Big Baby a full MLE deal the Cs won't match.

As for Orlando, I'm not sure why they'd let Gortat go to Dallas and then sign Big Baby for essentially the same money.

They won't, they'd be signing him to a much cheaper deal potentially. But I think the C's will match any deal that is half or less of the MLE.

I'm a big Felger fan.  He knows nothing about basketball, but he generally is honest about that.  But while he is often a contrarian, he doesn't make everything about him, the way Tanguay does.

Which is why I'm not sure these reports are entirely reliable. We'll see what offers are actually extended.

Chris Mannix just stated that even though the Wallace signing was great--the C's NEED another big guy---I highly doubt Danny lets Big Baby go to Orlando---not one of our Conf Rivals...San Antonio, maybe...NO Way do we wanna see Big Baby alongside D Howard all year long, and in the playoffs...no.
