Anyone else notice that the C's signing Rasheed was just a side note on espn now.
Last week Sheed was the Big Chip in Free Agentcy now he is just a after thought. Experts on that show were raving about how Sheed would make the contenter the Favorite to win it all next season. Now it's almost a non story. WHY is that?

I have been saying this was happeing over the weekend but I figured that they were waiting for him to sign before they brought out the Experts and Raved about how this would put the C's over the top and now be the team to beat but now that it has happened why are they acting it's another average guy going to a average team.

Why worry about such things?  I swear us Boston fans have an inferiority complex when it comes to the national networks.  As the great BB says 'Just do your job!"

Maybe if Sheed won Wimbledon.

Are we getting sensitive already?

Relax fellas it's Sunday night/very early Monday Morning. Don't they just run the shows they recorded earlier in the day over and over? Nobody is available to come in right now so all they will do is use the ticker/banners/etc.

If nothing steals the thunder, it will be the big NBA story all Monday.

That's Okay,

the Rasheed talk is overshadowing Wakefield.
sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

Really though do they think people are stupid or something. I mean you would have had to had your head in the sand to not notice the hype he was generating coming into freeagentcy. How do they get away with this stuff. I think some billionare needs to start up a new 24 Sports Channel to smartin up ESPN and hold them to some sort of integraty.

Fans here were even complaining during the championship season, though the big 3 were on the cover of everything and were being talked about constantly. Reminds me of the insecurity of Joe Peschi's character in Goodfellas when he thinks everyone is mocking him.

No this was the Live 11 o'clock show and 90 mins at that and they took 60 seconds to talk about Sheed and they also sounded depressed about Kidd resigning with the Mavs. I guess they think that puts Knicks out of the Bron Bron race. All I ask for is some consistancy in there reporting. No Bias either. Not toward Boston or against Boston or any City for that matter.

We are just one team in one of many sports. Sheed is on the front of the NBA page. Of course the winner of Wimbledon is on the front page of ESPN.com!

There is even a link to Rasheed's agent's video saying Rasheed will sign with the Celtics on the ESPN front page. How is that a slight? They clearly consider it their #1 NBA story at the moment.

Gotcha.

You have to realize that they aren't as excited as we are. They aren't going to spend 10 minutes showing videos at this point.

AHH I am talking about the Sports Center show. You guys that defend ESPN make me chuckle. I mean they are obviously a front runner station which makes me sick. If I live in Nebraska I want the same coverage of the Cornhuskers as the Buckeyes. Thats what I am talking about. Not just Boston. If you can't see there bias then I don't know what to tell you. Thats how I feel and I pointed out what they did and what they are doing now. Sheed was a huge story before free agentcy started and ever since he got linked to the Celtics they stoped hypeing him. FACT. Also if he was gonna be linked to the Cavs you can bet your bottem doller he would be the top story Federer be dammed.

But the Celtics ARE a frontrunner team.

A situation as groundbreaking as the Sheed signing during this offseason was the Pistons signing Gordon and CharlieV and I feel like they both got the same coverage. I mean, there might be some of that, oh man Sheed is an **** to reporters meaning they wont cover the signing as much, but I dont suspect it.
