Sheed's a lock, who's next?
From comments i get that the first priority is a SF, but i thought going after the PG spot with the LLE would be a better idea.
In addition, we still need a PF.  Is Baby worth any price at this point?  (I say give him at least two years, then trade him after this one)
Which FAs are first on everybody's list?  Personally i wouldn't use the LLE on Hill or Mcdyess and i don't think we can get them with minimums.  I wouldn't mind Barnes though.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I would definitely take Hill over Barnes. Hill is still a better player. Still doesn't have a great 3, but everything else is good. And Hill can play point forward.

And we have enough outside shooters - think about this lineup

House
Ray
Pierce
KG
Rasheed

that's ridiculous amount of outside shooting - but there's great balance on this team - you put Rondo, House, Ray, Pierce and Wallace on the floor (smallball) and Rondo and Pierce can both get in the lane and kick - Wallace can post and kick - wow, the combinations are endless - but this team is almost unguardable imo...

OK I'm as pumped as anyone about the Hill signing BUT a dose of reality:

He's 38.
He's notoriously injury prone.
He's 38.

This is not the grant hill of 1995.
God bless and good night!

C - Kendrick Perkins, Rasheed Wallace, Robert Swift
PF - Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, Glenn Davis, Brian Scalabrine
SF - Paul Pierce, Grant Hill, Bill Walker
SG - Ray Allen, Tony Allen, JR Giddens
PG - Rajon Rondo, Eddie House, Gabe Pruit OR Lester Hudson

It makes for a pretty interesting roster even if it is a little old.

I agree, Hill sounds a little more risky.  Barnes is only 29 i believe, so if he fits in well with our team we could keep him around for a while.  No matter how good Hill plays for us, you know it will only be short-lived.  You're correct, we don't really need more offense.  When Ray or Paul are taking a rest, their replacement needs to be able to provide the needed defense.  I feel Barnes is stronger defensively.  If we need a guy to make shots Ray or Paul shouldn't be coming out in the first place.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Hopefully resign baby for MLE-ish money to add depth to our frontline, Sign Grant Hill, dump the dead weight in Tony and Scals (Maybe Eddie, too) for a PG/SG (Barbosa, please.) and sign another big like Swift, or Rasho.

Rondo/Barbosa/House/Hudson
Allen/Barboa/House
Pierce/Hill/Walker
KG/Sheed/Baby
Perkins/Baby/Sheed/Swift

Tony, Scals, Mikki, Gabe, and Powe peacing.

True.

But the Celtics do not need Grant Hill of 1995.  Grant Hill of 08/09 would be a big boost to the bench.

I LIKE THE SHEED SIGHNING, BUT , GRANT HILL IS NOT THE ANSWER HERE... WE STILL NEED A BACKUP UP POINT GUARD NOT TO MENTION WE ARE REALLY OLD WITH THIS TEAM WE HAVE.. WE NEED TO GET YOUNGER .  PLAY WALKER , HUDSON , AND PUT PRUIT INTHE NEAREST SUPERMARKET ( GUY STINKS) HAVING GUYS IN THERE MID TO LATE 30S COMMING OFF THE BENCH DOESN'T EXACTLY PROVIDE A SPARK ... WE WILL WHERE DOWN W/ THIS GROUP.. ( YOUTH IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT....

danny prolly sees what baby is offered and makes his decision...then i expect danny to wait until all the FA smoke has cleared to see who is left out there at the point and PF spots

What is the advantage in that?  Danny should jump into the smoke and get his hands dirty.
