Von Wafer! I really think he would succeed behind Ray Ray at the two spot he is just a money scorer off the bench, and could be the perfect fit! Please this guy is deadly from 3, he actually beat the celtics on a play where he was camped out in the corner and knocked it down with 20 something seconds left. Please Danny Get Sheed and make this guy your next move!

We already have the rich man's Von Wafer in Eddie House.  If we got him for the vet min I suppose it wouldn't hurt though.

Yeah but Von can play Defense and cant do others things rather then just the 3 ball. Don't get me wrong I love Eddie and everything he brings but I think Wafer is 10x better defender and has length and a better scorer, just on the fact that he can do different things

Von Wafer would be a nice get for the LLE or a minimum contract.

That probably won't be enough to get him though, but there is a chance he doesn't get the offers he was hoping for and is available at less money. Not completely out of question, just unlikely.

Can you give me some examples of his defense? I have never heard him mentioned as a great defender. Barely heard him mentioned at all quite honestly, but a defensive player is always nice to add if he can score. If a guy is a better scorer than Eddie, bigger, and a 10x better defender you'd think the guy would be in hot demand and a starter somewhere. Why is he still a no name with all that well rounded talent?

Being better on D than Eddie <who I love and value> is not convincing enough for me to want Wafer.

I think Von Wafer is a good defender. It was the first year in his career that he bothered to play defense, as far as I can tell, but he did well once he put the effort in.

Pros: Good defender, good scorer. Good potential still.
Cons: Doesn't rebound, doesn't pass. Erratic. Still finding himself within the league. Selfish at times.

I'm wary of most teams signing him to a contract this summer, but Boston have the right type of setup. A veteran team that focuses on defense and team play.

I'd love to see Von Wafer stay in Houston, or join a team like Houston, for at least one more season. I think it would do him the world of good for the rest of his career.
