It's not quite an everything must go situation but New Orleans ownership seams to be very interested in getting under the cap. Due to the fact that the Celtics are a benevolent franchise I felt we should step in and help them out.

A number of sources said last week that the Hornets are again shopping center Tyson Chandler.

New Orleans general manager Jeff Bower could work on making a trade before he offers a contract to any free agent.

In addition, the Hornets could look to move one of their veteran guards, such as Morris Peterson, Antonio Daniels or Devin Brown.

The Hornets are also interested in bringing guard Jannero Pargo, who played overseas this past season, back.

I know we don't have the expiring contracts to get Chandler but how about Mo Pete or Antonio Daniels for our expirings.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I for one would love Mo Pete - very complementary backup wing for what we have going

The problem is I don't think we have enough to trade for Chandler and I'm not really interested in anything else they have that would be on the trading block (West and Paul are obviously out).

Pretty much everybody is expendable once you have Mikki aboard to carry the load!

I think we actually do now that Eddie's back on the books.  We could offer them a pu-pu platter of our non-Ray expirings for Chandler.

I am sure we have asked around and I've heard no "legitimate" rumors regarding NO.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but also his contract expires the same year KG's so it fits in long term.  Additionally, he is available for both Scal and TA's expiring deals because he's making 5 mill a year.  I would love to see Mo Pete in green.

Chandler is the only one I'd go for (with our expirings) but if we're getting Sheed it wouldn't make sense to make a run for him.  If we miss out though I'd love to get Chandler.  He would fit perfect on this team.  And be an important piece in the post Big Three era.

His stats kind of stink. I thought he was better than his stats indicate. Scal is a little better fit considering Mo Pete isn't a defender. Who needs another shooter that can't do much else.

I think he just had a bad year last year potentially playing injured then having to shut it down due to said injury.

If we don't get Wallace, I'd really like to get Chandler.  The guy is a defensive presence in the paint and he's mobile enough to play backup PF as well if needed.

Maybe we'll pick him up with some expiring contracts near the trade DL if there's still a need for him.

If we have to pick chandler up at the trade deadline next year, we are probably in trouble.  that would mean we would have a really big hole that didn't get filled before the start of the season.  so let's hope that doesn't happen...

as for mo pete.  I would like him if this were 3 or 4 years ago, but i'm not sure he has anything left.  If he does, he would be perfect*.  I haven't watched him much so i can't say one way for sure though.

for me, the only guy on NOH i would want to get is julian wright.  I think he is poised to blossom if given time.  I know it would be getting younger, when we really want to get older, but i think it would be a good move.  i think he has a lot of game in him, and i'm not sure that NOH really knows or cares to explore it.  I'd rather have him as a 'project' over any of the kids on our bench.

If News Orleans is indeed looking to save big bucks this year and years to come I might offer them this package that will save them $7 million this year and maybe a ton more if certain players opt out next year

Boston sends Pierce, Scal and Tony Allen to NO
NO sends David West, Tyson Chandler, and Peja Stojakovic

NO is getting the best player in the deal in Pierce, they are cutting $7 million off the books this year which gets them under the luxury tax and they have $6 million expiring and probably another $21 million as I doubt Pierce would not opt out next year.

Boston gets a back up big that is almost as good as Perk. They move West to the SF spot and they have a great back up wing in Peja.
