On the front page, it says Doc is talking to Hill.  Hope we can get him.

Yeah, I'd put my money on Hill being the backup wing.
If he signs elsewhere, I'd put my money on Anthony Parker.
If he signs elsewhere, I'd put my money on Dahntay Jones (not saying I want Jones, just saying he would be most likely at that point).

Celtics fan for life.

doc going after hill tells me battier is probably impossible. even in a salary dump they could get more from almost any team. too bad, getting battier would make the artest signing in l.a. make me feel so much better. hill is cool and we probably can't expect a better backup but at the same time i'm a little bummed because i really WAS hoping for some crazy way to get a guy like shane.
i don't get the marion stuff. you guys mean if we DON'T get sheed ,right? is there some other way we can get him?

Hopefully the Celtics can do the same. Still it is going to take some convincing. We clearly won't be able to offer him the most money.

I do not see Hill going to the Knicks, why would he want to play for them?  He's made his money, the extra 4 mil a year should not make a difference for him in my opinion.  He signed with the Suns on the cheap in the past so he had a chance to win, he'll do the same this off-season.
do it

Jones, Hill, Parker, Wafer, etc. All these guys would do great as a backup. Better than Giddens or Walker.

I'd add Barnes and Udoka to that list and that's probably what you meant by ect. but I'd be happy with any of these guys.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If I could guess anyone i would guess Anthony Johnson, but only because that's one of the guys Danny has confirmed he's interested in.  Also the Turkoglu signing increases the likelihood of him not staying in Toronto.

I would guess that Hill will be the "backup plan" at SF.   While it would be great to get him at the LLE, my bet is that he will be the backup plan at the MLE for Orlando.

I think you mean Anthony Parker.

Honestly, I am thinking Dahntey Jones may be the best guy. He played well in Denver, and is younger than Grant Hill adn will likely stay healthy.

If we sign Grant, I won't be disappointed. I've followed his career since I saw him when he was  freshman at Duke. Great character guy, classy, and if healthy, still a solid NBA player.
