People have to stop with the sign and trade ideas for Big Baby. If you are dealing BBD in a S&T it has to include multiple players and/or multiple teams with the Celtics having to send out a minimum of 5 million in salary besides BBD and taking in over 9 million in salary due to his Base Year Compensation stipulation of his situation.

I think the SF will be Hill or Parker unless the C's pull off a trade for someone like Nocioni or Outlaw

i am praying for marion
especting and wanting parker
thinking it will be hill
and hoping he isnt moon

edgar, why no to moon? he's actually high on my list...

1. Marion
2. Moon
3. Dahntay  Jones
4. Barnes
5. Hill
6. Udoka
7. Q. Ross
8. Bogans

I'm not a big fan of Parker --- seems to be like a poor man's combo of Allen/Pierce: shooter with OK defense. I really think we need someone to guard Lebron, Kobe, Vince Carter, etc for 20 mpg to give Pierce and Allen a break. Parker doesn't seem like he does that terribly well.

He's a good player, but not what we need i guess is what i'm saying

I am high on Moon as well. Grant Hill is a great Locker room guy. I just hope he can stay healthy for a full 82 and play-offs.

Not that you asked me but I'm in Toronto and watched him the last few years so I thought I'd respond. He's very limited offensively - falls in love with his jumper and doesn't bring enough energy night in and night out. That was endemic to last year's Raptor team which quit on D a LOT. But too many games I just saw this guy disappear. And for someone so limited talent-wise, without hustle, there's little to like.

I was babbling in another thread about Dahntay Jones and Hakim Warrick. But neither seems to be on Boston's radar.

PS - Edgar - what city are you in?

I forgot about about Hakim Warrick. He would be a nice fit if Sheed does not sing with the C's. Then it would be Oberto or Rasho as our backup 5 for the vet. min.

Warrick is a poor man's Marion, but would add a young guy that has experience, and can run the floor and finish.

I just read on the Rockets boards that since they are signing Ariza Morey will be looking to trade Battier.  Maybe Morey, who has past Celtics ties would like Scal or Tony or Gabe.... I'd love to have Battier.

I think people are sleeping on Rasho who is a big, wide body in the paint, good character guy and who can hit a short range jumper. Seems like a real value pickup for somebody. I'd have no problem with him as long as he wasn't the FIRST big guy off the bench.

Us trading expiring contracts + our meager young talent for Shane Battier would be a dream come true for me.

I think Battier might be my favorite player in the league.  I'm sure the Rockets will get much better offers, though.

True. Remember that they targeted Battier and traded Rudy Gay to get him. Obviously circumstances change and they're adding Ariza, but i think it will be hard to get him.
