It certainly has to do with the economy, but does anyone else notice that more than at any other time in the free-agency era of the NBA, all of the top teams seem to be getting better. Obviously, it is only the teams that have a shot at the title that are going to be willing to pay the luxury tax, etc. But it's funny because free agency is playing out as a "rich get richer" sort of thing. The league is going to be extraordinarily top-heavy this season (Lakers, Celtics, Cavs) if all these signings go down as reported. Very interesting.
