I thought the Knicks were spending the MLE on Kidd..

Man I miss Isaiah. This is where we could make jokes about Isaiah thinking he had more then one MLE.
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I dunno, I can't see Grant signing in NY.  IF its all about the money I guess he will have to.  But why would you want to spend your last couple of years in the league in mediocrity at best?
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Plan B?

My only problem with this, is I am afraid this might set the market for veteran wings, and it might make Parker think he is worth more than the LLE.

Happy to see Hill go elsewhere. Does anyone really believe he'll play the kind of D necessary to win a title? Same thing with Anthony Parker. The sooner they're both off the table, the happier I'll be.

If he wants a ring, being in the twilight of his career, he won't sign in NY.  They won't be considered contenders until after 2010..if they make the right moves.

I think mark cuban going insane and offering kidd 9 million a year for 3 torpedo'd that plan.

And who would want to be Pierce's backup?

Fair question. Personally, I like Dahntay Jones IF the rest of our second unit has guys who can put the ball in the basket (Sheed, Marbury while not perfect, can score). Josh Childress will probably cost too much and have better options but I like him. And I haven't seen him play enough to know if he can guard the 3, but is Hakim Warrick fleet enough of foot to handle the job?

Failing all that, I wonder if we can pry someone lose with the Scal/TA contracts as the season progresses - some SF that's having a stellar defensive year.

No, both the Knicks and Dallas wrote up 3 year deals.

Anthony Parker can't guard the 3.
