How tall is he?

He's a legitimate 7 footer.

I hear the 2 years or rehab have not been nice, and now that he's filling out at 280lbs, he's got manboobs to make BBD jealous.

That's the weight he's added in the weight room. He said himself that he has added 40 pounds of muscle since being drafted.

While talking about his stats from 2006 is nice, they are from 2006, before 2 serious knee injuries. I hear the 2 years or rehab have not been nice, and now that he's filling out at 280lbs, he's got manboobs to make BBD jealous. He'll need to get on the Perk workout schedule pretty quick if he has any hope of being productive in the summer league, let alone the NBA. I hope for the best because at one point, he did have alot of talent, but I'm not goign to hold my breath.

The point about his 2006 stats was to illustrate that he DOES seem to be a hard-working kid.  He showed a lot of improvement between his rookie and sophomore campaigns, both evidenced by his improved play and his bulking up pretty significantly (a la Perk) since being drafted.  You never saw that kind of effort expended by POB, either here or in Golden State.

If the kid's healthy, I'm confident that he's a hard worker and he's got some talent.  Summer League should give us a good feel for the health question.

Celts need to give this kid a ton a minutes in the summer league to evaluate if this kid is worth a roster spot. Even the summer league is very misleading (aka Marcus Banks), but it will be are only way to evaluate if he's worthy of a roster spot.

If he is healthy and earns a spot in the rotation, I would have no problem platooning Swift and Scali as the 4th/5th big man depending on matchups.  (4th if Davis is gone, 5th if Davis is back)

I'd feel a lot better with him as the 5th big rather than the 4th.
