Is Marbury actually making 20 million dollars?
How in the world are the Celtics are affording him.
And how can they afford to resign him if he's making 20m?
Everywhere I've checked from trade machine to espn is saying that his salary is 20M.  Is this a typo?

Check out this ridiculous trade for example:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mcpln7

If Marbury is a 20M expiring contract, couldn't we get something worthwhile in return?

Don't really know how his trade value works, but we're not paying him 20 million. He got boughtout by NY for 20 million or so, we signed him for 1.5 million (clearly made up this figure because I'm lazy) or so.

he was and then was bought out by the Knicks, so the 20m is inaccurate

Ok so his 'real' salary is only 1.5M?  Ok that makes a lot more sense. LOL.  If he were making 20m the Cs would be seriously over the lux tax threshold wouldn't they?

Yeah, his real salary was $1.2 million.  At no point could the Celtics have traded him for another player making $20 million; ESPN's trade machine is simply broken.

ESPN's trade machine is not accurate... Try Realgm.com's trade checker.
