The summer league team, which will play in Orlando next week, also includes rookie guard Lester Hudson, who was introduced to the media yesterday, guard Chris Lofton (University of Tennesee, Turkish league), Coby Karl (son of Nuggets coach George Karl, Boise State, Spain), Darius Washington (University of Memphis, Spurs, Czech Republic league), Bryce Taylor (Oregon, Italy), Kevin Rogers (undrafted out of Baylor) and Bryan Mullins (undrafted out of Southern Illinois).

Also mentions Swift later on.

I highly doubt it.

Atleast I hope not, I'm hoping to see Walker, Giddens, Pruitt, and Hudson all play extended minutes without having to defer to anyone.

Reading comprehension doesn't exist anymore. That little bit NEVER says Giddens isn't playing. It just listed those you probably wouldn't know. We already have confirmation that Giddens/Walker/Pruitt are playing.

His first chance at proving he's a keeper comes this weekend when the Celtics will take him to Orlando for a week of summer league with Bill Walker, Gabe Pruitt and J.R. Giddens, as well as a handful of guys who stand on the fringe of the NBA. Michael Sweetney, who's attempting an NBA comeback, highlights a list of free agents already nailed down for the Celtics' summer league team that will compete in a game a day from July 6-10.

"Mike's trying to make a comeback. He's been working really hard over the last 6-8 months to get back into the NBA," Ainge said. "He's certainly a talented player. Time will tell."

Ainge also revealed that Chris Lofton, Coby Karl, Darius Washington, Bryce Taylor, Kevin Rogers and Bryan Mullins are slated to join the summer roster, and he's working on adding a few more names to the mix today.

I'm intrigued as well. Many of these guys were at one point considered top or mid-level prospects who flamed out. Sweetney was a top 15 pick as was Swift, and I remember alot of buzz surrounding Fazekas when he came out of Nevada a couple of years ago. Scouts compared him to Kirelinko(sp) and he was a top 20 pick as well I beleive. If just one of these reclaimation projects can regain some of their former talent, they might be able to make the team.

I think they only listed the non-roster invitees.  Walker, Giddens and Pruitt will all likely be playing.
