Not the most glamorous free agent signing, but figures to be cheap.  We'd know exactly what we would be getting - a solid backup with good fundamentals that is highly capable of running our offense.  Rather have him than the other pricier, older free agents i.e. Jason Williams, Kidd, or even Marbury perhaps.

Also, what are the chances we could sign Wilcox (active, good height) to backup Perk and KG??

I'd be OK with it.  However, as I've said before, if Rondo is going to play 35-40 mpg, who our backup PG is not nearly as important as backup positions at the 2/3 spots and 4/5 spots.  And if Rondo goes down, no one out there is going to make up for it.

I'd be okay with B. Knight at a vet min salary.

Wilcox is a name I haven't heard before and its an interesting one. But I think he's a player who would command most of the MLE, while also not being a player Ainge particularly desires.

I think Oberto or Nesterovic are the most likely candidates at this point.

You know a team is up against a financial constraint when the FAs being discussed are: Brevin Knight, Dahntay Jones, and Fabricio Oberto. :-\
