Apples and Oranges.

Lyrically B.I.G. because his flow, delivery, and wordplay is just elite. Pac is close, but it's more of the subject matter in his songs that people listen for. Pac was pretty nice lyrically, but I love lyricism, and BIGGY has that area locked up.

Bump, agree, TP...

::) everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I knew which way this blog would sway towards anyways, and for what reason, but I'll keep that to myself. :-X  Tupac = OVERRATED in every sense of the word. Like I said, top 5. Probably at the 5th spot.

1.BIG
2.BIG L
3.Pun
4.Mos Def
5. Tupac

Thats my opinion, no need to reply. Threads like this always end up as arguments.

You roll your eyes at "everyone's opinion" then say we're intitled to it, put everyone who doesn't agree with you in a box, then say you'll keep your reasons to yourself.  Way to stay classy  ::)

I wish you HAD kept it to yourself, Big L's your #2 all time?  That's 30 sec I'll never get back.

well you can't say Big L didn't have the sickest lines of all time; he has some rhymes that literally make me laugh out loud when I here them 'cause they're so sick.

::) thats right. Your entitled to it, doesnt mean I agree with you. Dont like what I said? Ignore it. :P , i dont want to state my reasons because this thread will turn into an all-out debate that will have nothing to do with the topic. As for your 30 seconds, too bad maybe you should have stopped reading half way, or not bother replying.  :-X

Yea Big L is my 2nd all time. Meaning the 2nd best Rapper. Keyword rapper. Tupac is a story teller/ poet. If that was the question, he wins.

And way to stay classy? Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. does that mean? You know what, that was a rhetorical question, dont bother telling me.  ::)

Big L was legit, best freestyler ever. 2nd all time, I dont know...Its too bad he only got out 2 albums. Nas is right behind BIG, maybe he will even surpass him. The way he attacks it, and NOBODY is better lyrically than Nas. Dope.

4. 2 pac
5. Big L

I hate this kind of rivalries, I like both of them, I grow up with their music, and I think that they are the "Big 2", but if I had to choose only one of them it has to be 2Pac, because I had him tatooed on my chest, he's stucked on my heart.

They are both so overrated because they died. Biggie is better than Pac but that doesn't make him the best rapper ever--it makes him good...not great, but good.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Hey man, once the toothpaste is out of the tube...I read it, I can't unread it ;)

The classy comment, as I stated before it in the OP here, isn't about your opinion, it's about your post.  Don't like Pac?  Fine.  You think Big L is the 2nd best rapper of all time and that 2Pac wasn't a rapper because he's a poet and and a storyteller?  We are on different wavelengths about this hip hop thing but it's cool...but you can't say other people's opinions are valid and in the same breath dismiss them, and you can't talk about something and then in the same breath say your NOT gonna talk about something.  IMO that's classless, and that's what I was referring to.

Look I get it, this is an opinion thread, and opinions are like butts.  I'm not any more right than anyone else here, which is different than saying in effect: "Your all entitled to to incorrect opinions, you people who disagree with me are all the same...but I'm not gonna say why."

BTW you ask me about my hip hop credentials in your PM.  Yeah, I know a little something about hip hop  8)

Just checking. No "ill will" towards you. (get it? lol). I hear you, I just want to make sure Im talking to someone who can make valid points, and is actually educated in what im talking about. many people would just go with the popular pick and thats it. The reason I wanted to state, but did not want to look racist was the following;

First off I'm half black and half white, let me get that in the open. However, having grown up next to every race(and I love every race), my white friends tend to lean towards Pac. While my minority friends, lean towards biggie.

But alot more than skin color goes towards that. Where we live(east coast, west). Who who put us on to that artist(at some point an older friend or family member tells us about an artist or song). Or just who we can relate to more. That was what I wanted to say, but it is difficult to not come off as racist online. Where people can read what Im saying, but can not tell the tone, in which Im saying it.

So I hear you, I respect your thoughts, and just wanted to clear that up. Especially since your an artist too, I got nothin but love for you. Peace. TP ur way.  8)
