I just watched the movie "Notorious" and it's a pretty good layout of his life.  I was big a fan of his back in the day and Tupac was very talented.   Their rivalry was well documentated.   If you had to choose between the 2 who would you pick?

(Mods I'm having trouble adding a poll.  Maybe you can help)

Both.
I hate rap rivalries, that's the worst part of rap. Both were amazing.
If you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose though, I would say Tupac.

2Pac was overrated lyrically, the way he attacked a song was fire but the content wasnt that great....Biggie is the best MC ever because he's so versatile and smooth. Any beat, he will kill it.

So close, I'd have to say 2pac though. Both were amazing and probably the best 2 rappers that ever lived.

Woah, woah, woah. Lyrical content?

BIG had the flow, wordplay, and just came out with some stuff you never heard of before. Stuff that had you rewind the song just to check if "Did he just say that?". BIG was WAYYY ahead of his time. And out of both rappers, you definitely hear current rappers copy BIG WAY MORE.

Tupac is in my top 5, but definitely not number 1. His flow was simple, but what saved him/made him unique was his conent(subjects, and topics), and his delivery. Tupac probably had the best delivery of all time, just for the emotion he put into every line.

Two very gifted, young entrepeneurs, that died before their time. You cant compare them, only appreciate 'em. But, if I had to, It's BIG all day. BIG the rapper/entertainer, and Tupac the rights activist/poet.

TP. agree 100%

2Pac, unequivocally, undeniably...

He was not only an incredibly verbose lyricist, he has content that has really never been matched since.  His death brought no less then the downfall of hip hop, and no one has ever been as good since.

Apples and Oranges.

Lyrically B.I.G. because his flow, delivery, and wordplay is just elite. Pac is close, but it's more of the subject matter in his songs that people listen for. Pac was pretty nice lyrically, but I love lyricism, and BIGGY has that area locked up.

::) everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I knew which way this blog would sway towards anyways, and for what reason, but I'll keep that to myself. :-X  Tupac = OVERRATED in every sense of the word. Like I said, top 5. Probably at the 5th spot.

1.BIG
2.BIG L
3.Pun
4.Mos Def
5. Tupac

Thats my opinion, no need to reply. Threads like this always end up as arguments.

You roll your eyes at "everyone's opinion" then say we're intitled to it, put everyone who doesn't agree with you in a box, then say you'll keep your reasons to yourself.  Way to stay classy  ::)

I wish you HAD kept it to yourself, Big L's your #2 all time?  That's 30 sec I'll never get back.

Biggie and 2Pac are the only two rappers i really listen to. They both have more meaning behind their lyrics than any other rappers. But I agree, I don't think you can really say one is better than the other.
