here's the exchange:

Quote
@NBATVEric Heard Rasheed is picking between the Magic or Spurs. What you know about this?

Quote
@ClevelandOwnz Those are top two. Heard Dal and Hou also called. Cle is not in mix. KG is calling, but Sheed won't do Boston.

Ric Bucher apparently indicating that the Cs are not on the list of destinations for Sheed.

Thanks for the info.
Not surprising -- he would be coming off the bench in a limited role, and it is cold here in the winter.  He already has a ring and so if he really wants another, why not do it in a warm place, where he might even start?

the thing is, none of those teams have cap space, so money's not the deciding factor....

Here goes our plans. How much would Ainge be willing to pay Al Harrington?

Al is probably gonna stay in NY where he can put up big numbers, start, make plenty of money, and not have to play defense.

well NYK aren't going to add any more contracts that could interfere with 2010....especially if they want to add to max FAs.

Not really.  Cs have too many holes to fill on the bench to give the entire MLE to a grumpy over the hill player like Sheed.

If the MLE is to be used, I am pulling for part of it on Zaza Pachulia and part of it on a backup wing.

Agreed.  I see no reason why Al Harrington would opt out of his $10M/1yr contract....

BINGO!  been thinking the same thing.  Maybe even try to get Nate is some sort of sign and trade as well.  Have no idea how it would work.  But if you bring back BBD and Powe then sign Harrington and Nate your done your offseason.  You have the same core of bigs that won you # 17 (minus PJ) and you have added explosive versatility and offense.

It just amazes me that at his age and where he is in his career he cares this much about not starting.  Let him rot if that's his attitude.

I'm hoping the whole offseason doesn't turn out like this...

How does Boston trade for Harrington and Nate?  NYK would want an expiring contract (Ray Allen) plus a sweetener (future 1st round pick?).... but I think the Cs are better off keeping Ray and not trading him for a punk and an underacheiver.

Ah. I thought he was a restricted FA not a player option...yeah, he's not gonna opt out...not with Rubio on the way...
