It doesn't bother me, I love this time of year, all the rumors and speculation. All the possibilites. I am not one that likes to stand pat, I want my team to be good today and tomorrow . I don't want just to win now I want to win every year and the only way to do that is to make moves to improve your team and its future via trades and the draft along with expiring contract in this day and age.
I love Rondo and don't want him to go, like with BIG Al if thats what we need to do to help in the future then I am all for it and will open the door for Rondo and say thanks for the excitement ,  as long as what ever move we do make that involves Rondo or anyone does not jeopordize this coming season.

So again " In Danny I trust"!

Not annoying me... the only thing annoying me is that some of these deals haven't been finalized.

Maybe this is all a ploy to get Rondo to adjust his attitude.  I've got to think that Danny "going public" has weakened Rondo's trade value a bit.

Yeah, that's what's getting me, he's making Rondo look pretty bad, and who wants to trade for that? Especially because DA also said he's looking to keep the team as intact as possible since it's a championship contender. I hope you're right. I'd hate to see Rondo get tossed without one more year to try to improve his weaknesses (meaning, game and attitude).

Honestly we've had a few solid weeks of dragging Rondo's name through the mud.  Bad attitude?  Uncoachable?  late to practice?  Can't hit a shot to save his life? His teammates hate him?  Don't need a great point guard to win a title?  He's immature? It's negative spin on top of more negative spin on top of more negative spin.  Realizing that GMs only leak out what they want leaked out, it makes you wonder if this whole thing is constructed by Boston to help in contract negotiations.  I call BS.

It's obviously working on some of the easily convinced members of this board.  Kinda funny, actually.  This is the same guy who carried us in the playoffs and you have guys who are selling themselves on trading him for MIke Conley.  Hilarious.  I guess the hope is that Rondo's people are as weak minded and will stop asking for a max contract.

I just listened to the Ainge interview on WEEI.  Seems like all the nonsense from the local press is much ado about nothing. He's not a max contract guy right now says DA. Gee whiz, I'm shocked.  Must be on the next flight out. Danny hardly seemed like he was ready to deal RR or anyone else.

This is the problem for the local media:

            DRAFT DAY IS UPON US

and we may not even bother to make a pick.

Nope, I love the rumors.
This is one of the funnest parts of the offseason (other fun parts include first couple days of FA signing season and preseason...).
Celtics fan for life.

Draft Week ... where media members wildly exaggerate a little bit of information and people leach onto it.   It's like dominoes or wild fires in California.  I expect 97% of what we hear to be untrue, unfounded, and ridiculously inept journalism.

Every year, the trades that happen are the ones that aren't reported by the media :)

Wasn't it once said that Rondo "makes this team go".  When he's playing good theyre pretty much unstoppable, and idk why a pg with the ability to push the ball and make good decisions like a 10 year veteran would be shipped off in his THIRD YEAR.  These rumors make me livid because we won't find a pg that makes the team go like Rondo does anywhere, mark my words.

I hear ya Brew. So many of the exciting games I've seen in the last two years have been when Rondo pushes the ball and we ended up with alot of easy bucket. Not only does he make them go he make it exciting to watch.

I remember one of the Phoenix games we played, Rondo ran all over that team. Shaq and Grant Hill got abused with the Celts speed. Let Cleveland get Shaq, and we'll run him into the ground.

The Celtics are definitely more exciting when Rondo is running the show. The playoffs, however, is a played a lot more slower and with fewer posessions. More half court sets are played. Doc and Danny have voiced the same opinion that Rondo is a liability at crunch time because teams touble off him.

The bosses are just doing their job on making us better.
