Ray Allen Thinks He's Staying Put

Don't know how confident Ray is , but doesn't think he will be traded

"I spoke with my side of the equation and for right now there is no desire to move me," Allen said. "We're in a great position to win a championship again this next year."


"I've said for the last day that I have a very attractive contract," Allen said. "I think there are disgruntled players around the league, so there is a lot of speculation about players being tossed around. Guys want to leave certain teams.

"I obviously think my contract is attractive to a lot of teams that want to get money off their books from the following year. It's part of the business."

"Anything can happen. I've been traded twice in my career," Allen said. "Being part of an organization where you're a cornerstone, anything can happen."

"He can extend his contract and be a restricted free agent next year," Allen said. "I've been around long enough to understand this is the business. As well as he's played, he's attractive to another team contractually."

i think there are vets (allen, pierce, KG) that don't like rondo's tardiness...not being able to take coaching....i think ray stays..i think they move rondo and someone with him

I think the feud is between Ray and Rondo.  They have verbally got into before.  I would say Doc has Ray's back.  Ray is famous for showing up early for everything.  Rondo is apparently notorious for being late.  I think they are both stubborn people.  One of them will be gone tomorow.

Agreed.  I thought I read a story last season about how much time Rondo spent at Ray's house watching video and learning about the game from a veteran.  I also remember hearing a story when Garnett got traded that Pierce told him he would love playing with Rondo.  I could personally care less if they like eachother or not.  Bird and McHale didn't like eachother.  I don't think anyone like Kareem but they didn't let it affect them on the court.
