Bosh to Miami for Beasley, Haslem, and Chalmers.

Miami would do this in an instant. Toronto wouldn't.

If offered and Toronto doesn't believe they can sign him, they jump over that deal.  You'd be hard pressed to come up with a better return especially considering he is thought to be targeting Miami as a destination.

Depends on their evaluation of Beasley/Haslem/Chalmers.

If you're not high on Beasley trading Bosh for three role players is not a good move.

Aren't they talking about doing a sign and trade? That usually doesn't yield much, does it?

Depends, the Suns got two first round picks and Boris Diaw for Joe Johnson.

But in this case if they were to do the trade before this season it'd be an extend and trade. So I think the Raptors would be looking to get more as they'd be giving Miami the "extra" year of Bosh. Otherwise they can always just sign him with their cap space after all.

Boris Diaw wasn't seen as a great asset when he was traded. He did better in the Sun's system than he did with the Hawks.

I know but a lottery pick and two first rounders is better than Beasley, Haslem (who would have to be resigned), and Chalmers (who will be a back up PG for his career).

The key would be what do the Raptors think of Beasley. Again though that sign and trade was done when Joe Johnson was a restricted FA. For the Raptors to do a deal before this season begins you'd have to offer them more.

Boris Diaw (coming off two disappointing seasons where he was considered a bust), Robin Lopez, and a pick they sold ... isn't better than two all rookie players and a solid PF.

Beasley was the 2nd pick in the draft and Chalmers rookie year probably puts his value as higher than Diaw's at the time he was traded.

Utah could certainly obtain Bosh. Bosh would be a great option for them ecspecially if Boozer AND Millsap leave.

Millsap(sign and trade), Ronnie Brewer and a draft pick could get it done.

They had been playing Diaw at the point, Atlanta is a terrible organization.

I agree they didn't get much out of the first round picks in the end. Like I said if they believe Beasley can become a star then this isn't a awful deal.

I think a better example of what the Raptors will demand is the KG trade. If they're trading him the year before they lose him to FA then they'll surely want better.

While the Raptors' intention is to keep Chris Bosh, who is not remotely being shopped, but he can be had for a knock-'em-dead offer -- a prime time player, another starter, a No. 1 pick and cash. Sources say there has yet to be a single concrete proposal that comes close to blowing anybody that matters (Bryan Colangelo) away. -NY Times

Not really breaking news, but an awkwardly phrased sentence.

So pretty much a KG size offer is what he is looking for. Big Al, Gomes/Telfair/Green, and the the two picks would fit that description closely enough.

Traivs Outlaw, Steve Blake, and Lamarcus Aldridge, + the FRP (I think its like 18 or something).

That's the type of offer I think they want. If Portland were smart, they'd make it.

I think they like Aldridge too much to make that offer. I agree that they should do that trade if possible.
