Per Chris Mannix on Sports Tonight. Other tidbits:

Chris Mannix and Russillo - Rondo's not untradeable because of the big money it will take to re-sign. Neither thinks it happens though.

Mannix - Trade doesn't make sense unless DA thinks Rubio's a star in a year.

Russillo - Tyreke Evans really is unlikely in his opinion and isn't that good.

Mannix - Perkins trade rumor doesn't make sense for Boston and Memphis wouldn't be interested either.

Mannix thinks it much more likely that Cs will pick up free agents McDyess and/or Hill than do any deal.

-------------

This sounds about right. It would be interesting to know who DA had in mind, but I have to think it's Rubio with Harden a less likely possibility. Evans really would be a major fiasco IMO.

-----------

In an unrelated item Sammy Sosa supposedly failed the same drug tests ARod did. What a shocker. I knew that all the HR records were frauds when Sammy went on his sprees. From homering once every 36 at bats for his first 6 years to half that in 1 year and eventually once every 11 at bats.

if danny feels evans has the finishing capabilities of rose, dwade you can't blame him for wanting him to the point of giving up perkins

Type evans on youtube and all you will see him is dance around not only his defender but three other guys to score in the paint. Even if its college thats pretty impressive

So what?  Rondo does that in the NBA-- when he feels like it.

Well, that is a problem, but Rondo is pretty darn dominant in the NBA.  What's more, we know what Rondo with the Big Three and Perk is good enough to win a title.  You can't say that about a rookie.  For all we know, the rookie comes in, has growing pains, the Big Three Age, Ainge trades them away and attempts to put pieces around the rookie and Perk, the C's get good again, but never win a title.  In essence, Ainge blows Banners #18 and 19 to make the C's the 2011-2015 of the '90s Knicks.
