So LeBron visited the White House yesterday.  I thought that was only for champs, let LeBron win a ring before he gets to visit, just like every other athlete.

Ok I don't really give a hoot if LeBron visits the White House or not, just thought some of you might rip him a new one over it, so I figured I'd post it.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Ah, that sense of entitlement.  And I wondered where it came from.  Apparently, it's from Obama.  I wonder if Obama bowed to him.   ;)

Yeah, that's stupid.  But I guess Obama is a big basketball fan, so he'd want to meet the best player in the league.

Still, the President should only meet with winners, I agree.

President's can invite whomever they want to the White House. Note he did not invite the entire Cavs team.

Though he did invite the Bulls earlier this season.

Obama had already invited the Bulls this season.

I like the idea since it shows how much Obama loves basketball but I agree that it should be reserved to winners only, to preserve the tradition.

And by the way Obama should invite Rondo since he stated on his blog that he wanted to repeat to go back to the White House to meet Obama. :P

not to stop the rampant lebron bashing thats going on, which i am always a fan of, but he isn't even close to the first basketball player to get an invite to the white house to talk hoops.

I know both millers, oakly, and I think zo ( It was some front court player from the 90's, i could swear it was zo, but could be wrong) to get into the White house. also the whole bulls team (tp to both of you, forgot that one)

I think it's pretty much a "if your famous for hoops and in town, come by and we'll talk basketball for a bit" thing the pres does as our first person of sports  ::)

lol I don't think Rondo's going to receive any warm welcomes in Chicago... and Obama's a huge Bulls fan - I think Rondo destroyed any chance of getting a personal invite with what he did to the Bulls in round 1. So Rondo will just have to win #18 to get to the White House.

well according to lebron, he is a winner. that's why he didn't congradulate the magic after they eliminated the cavs.

Is D. Rose doing funny things with his fingers in this pic too??
Carl: And, technically, he's supposed to be spayed, and uh, he ain't that. I know that first hand. Go ahead, ask me how I know. Go ahead. Ask me. Ask me how I know.
