Yeah, it was painful to watch the Lakers win and Kobe celebrate and the talk of Jackson passing Red, but there is a silver lining for Celtics fans. It is that Lakers fans can finally shut up about Andrew Bynum, and how easily their team would have beaten Boston had the young center been healthy last year. I'm sure Lakers fans started to enjoying Bynum's foul trouble after a while, because it meant that they could play with their top lineup, the one featuring Lamar Odom.

[dang].  This thread title got my hopes up.  I was hoping there were reports that Vujacic got hit eye knocked out from a cork when someone popped a bottle of champagne.

C'mon, do you actually think Laker fans are gonna stop using that tired excuse?  We're talking about fans who count titles won by teams 2,000 miles away from L.A.  I wouldn't be surprised if the franchise will actually add 2008 as a title year, going on the assumption that Bynum was worth at least 2 more finals wins.  :P

Radmanovic was starting from them last year.  I don't care how "bad" Bynum is, he is better than Radmanovic.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

You're right.  Maybe we only beat them 130-92 in Game 6 if Bynum were healthy.

Man you really are the resident Laker defender.

Ariza has been the biggest difference for this Laker team, rather than Bynum.

No - Lakers fan are blaming the progress of Bynum on his injuries - saying he would be a superstar if it wasn't for them.

The Faker fans have a bigger identity crisis than Kobe.

Radman gets somewhat of a bad rap. He's a solid role player, very similar in value to Luke Walton. He's just overpaid, Ariza will likely join him this off season.

Radman was a terrible 3 to match against Pierce though.

i don't think odom did anything to get him a better contract. he's a chump. always has been. he makes a great play or two and then kind of struts and plays for the camera and the ALWAYS follow it up with a bad play or two. ariza, i agree will be making so more dough.

Well, there's only one person to blame for Bynum's recent MCL tear; Kobe Bean Bryant. Such a good guy.

I think the thing to take out of these NBA Finals is that the Magic, Lakers, and Cavs are all inferior to a healthy Celtics team.

Keep the team together, get them some bench help, keep them well rested during the regular season, and let them roll to #18.

EXACTLY. TP. I feel a strange sense of calm and contentedness this off-season because I still feel like my team was the best one in the NBA this year and that next year we'll be even better with some bench help.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Come on Bynum is a future HOF center. The man who will surpass all in the current Center pantheon (Russell, Chamberlain, Abdul-Jabbar, Olajuwon, Shaq).

 ;D ;D

Doesn't he make 14 million next year? In the words of Nelson. "Ha, ha".
