The Lakers are 13-6 in the Finals when they face anyone but the Celtics and 2-9 in the Finals when facing the Celtics.
The Celtics are 8-1 in the Finals when facing anyone but the Lakers and 9-2 in the Finals when facing the Lakers.
It's a good thing LA got to the Finals a lot(with many years coming out of the West in a cakewalk because the entire conference was so weak) because they probably don't have nearly as many titles. I guess when LA gets to the Finals and Boston isn't there they figure they can take the noose around their collective necks off.
Oh yeah, BTW, in the nature of being a good sports. Keep our championship trophy nice and polished and don't put any dents in it because we'll be taking our rightful possession of it again next year.
