Up 3 on the line with 10 seconds left.  If you can't win that game then you don't deserve a championship, and the Magic won't.

I can't believe Alston didn't see the floor in the fourth and OT.  He has been one of their best players since the series went to Orlando.

Kobe Bryant had AT LEAST 10 fouls tonight.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Tough loss for the Magic. On the bright side if any team could manage to choke away a 3-1 finals lead it'll be these Lakers.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

gasol is tough against a guard

the villian factor for the lakers just keeps rising. what a bunch of frontrunners, as soon as they feel they sealed the title, they start acting like a bunch of thugs

I have a feeling Alston is leaving orlando after this season. No way he sticks around to watch Nelson play next year

As much as I hate Kobe, Jameer Nelson deserved that elbow in the face because his defense was just horrible.

what is so [dang] depressing watching these finals is knowing that a healthy Celtics team (especially if ainge doesn't let posey go) hangs #18 against any of these teams.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

What's crazy to think about is that this series could easily be 3-1 Magic and not 3-1 Lakers.  Just think, Courtney Lee makes that lay-up at the end of Game 2 and the Magic don't pull this super choke job at the end of this game and it's COMPLETELY different.

Agreed...but at the same time, I don't wanna keep thinking that.  Cause if we don't win it all next year, it'll be even that more depressing.

Agreed, there is NO way the Magic should have lost this game but they did.

The PG situation where Alston did not see a single minute in the game's final 17 minutes is just one of the many question marks in this game.

This yr's Rondo would ABUSE the Lakers point guards. Lakers would be lucky to last 6 this yr.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
When Dwight went to the line in regulation I said to myself, he is going to miss both free throws, and Kobe is going to hit a three, then the Lakers are going to win overtime. So Fisher hit the the three, Nelson decided to lose the game by not fouling Fisher, I was close.

Tonight was a perfect example of the Magic, a very soft team, realizing who they are against a better team, they were afraid to win. I know it sounds hard to believe but the Magic did all they could to lose this game, it's much easier for them to lose and say they tried their best than to actually try their best. This series is done, I think it will end on Sunday and if not it will end in game 6, Orlando has no chance, and really doesn't belong in this big of a series.

The Lakers are not a particularly tough team, but they are a very talented team, as are the Magic, they're just not on the Lakers talent level.

Celtics in 5... next year.

That's really all I can get from this series, is that if KG were healthy the Celtics would be winning another ring as we speak. Just like KG, I guarantee a championship next year, add two role players and I consider it a lock.

Ive seen that elbow not being called many many many times, especially at the high school level.

Kobe should have gotten a T earlier, but then again these are the finals and he already has a bunch.

How pathetic is ESPN? Pietrus should be suspended a game? It wasn't that bad, nobody got hurt.

You need to sprinkle in a dash of good health for it to be a lock.  But, if we get that, I agree.

right, but they didn't because they chocked both times.

The lakers are going to win because they are the more poised team. Orlando should have won game 2 and 4, but they chocked away easy wins.

I mean, up 3 from the line with 10 seconds left and you blow it. Not only that, they went 1/6 on FT's in the last 2 minutes if you count hedo forgetting he's a 85% shooter from the line.

and in game 2 an easy layup attempt for the win, and you blow it.

sucks, but the lakers are taking this one, they just don't make those kinds of mistakes.
