Kobe and Chris Paul SHOULD NOT be all-defensive first team. Kobe is possibly one of the most overrated defenders ever, and Chris Paul's selection might be even worse. Yes, he led the league in steals but other than that his defense was mediocre at best, and I really do mean at best. Sorry, but a 6 footer just can't be one of the two best defensive guards in the league. He isn't great at staying with his man and can't close out/contest shots at all.

And for god's sake, Dwyane Wade had over 100 blocks AS A GUARD, in addition to 176 steals (barely behind cp3's 216) for the season, along with playing great man to man defense. And he gets 2nd team? Yeesh. And as much as Rondo has improved on defense, is he the 3rd or 4th best defending guard in the league? Definitely not. I understand I'm jumping into hot water by criticizing Rondo on here, but it's true. Kirk Hinrich, who received a couple votes but fell short, should've been on here instead of him. The rest of the selections I basically agree with, but I really just don't know how they screwed up with the guards so badly.

  • I cant wait to NOT watch "Kobe Doin work"
could not agree with you more...Dwayne Wade was absolutley robbed...but what really made me upset was the snubbing of Kendrick Perkins.  Kendrick Perkins is not only a one on one defensive stud and has proved it over and over, he is a great team defender.  He more than held his own in the playoffs without KG their to anchor out the defense. Yet somehow this slips the minds of the people that vote these players on to these teams. I dont get it.
Practice?...I mean...we talking about..Practice..not even like a game...but...practice

Well for what it's worth he was competing against Dwight Howard (first team) and Tim Duncan (2nd team). Dwight led the league in rebounds and blocks so he pretty much had that all locked up. Tim Duncan is a pretty darn good defender too, so it's a tough call. Perkins is definitely up there though, and if I recall correctly I believe he got a couple votes.
