interesting interview:

“Right now, I gotta weigh every option that’s possible for me to put me in a situation to succeed… I gotta look at every situation point by point in terms of what I want to do, what I can bring to that team, where I can help in that situation.  Also, you gotta realize, I finished my tenth season in the league… I do wanna win a ring before I’m done playing.  You know, I wanna see what’s my best opportunity and what’s my best chance to do that.”

my guess is that Toronto re-signs him, but he's not restricted right?  so if he agrees to the MLE with, I don't know, Boston for instance, they can't match right?

Didn't I hear Corey Maggette say the exact same thing last year.  :(
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

  • I cant wait to NOT watch "Kobe Doin work"
I would be all for Marion coming to Boston, but I really dont see him accepting a 6th man role.  Just think back to his days in Pheonix where he complained about not getting enough shots.
Practice?...I mean...we talking about..Practice..not even like a game...but...practice

Exactly, but man if did happen.....

Oh well I need to focus on realistic scenarios this off season. Getting KG was the get of my sports lifetime, and probably always will be.

He'll go for the money. 2-3 years from now I could see him settling down as a role player on a good team, but from what we all read about him, he clearly cares about the money - and being an option.

There's something about a player that keeps getting traded and switching teams. There's a reason these teams get rid of the guy.

I've never seen a guy so gung-ho to leave an annual 55 to 60 win team as Marion was leaving Phoenix.  Never.

ON the court shawn marion is so perfect for us. he'd have to be all about the ring though and i doubt he's at that point in his mind. it's just too much of a paycut for him i think. i saw we suppoedly asked about raja bell. now therei s aguy i've been DYING to see wear a c's uniform. perfect celtic.
