Boston trade: Ray Allen
Memphis trade: Mayo, Gasol,Jaric & Buckner

The trade works also with Milicic instead of Buckner, but i think that because of his expiring contract, Memphis would try to trade him eventually with someone else to take more. However i remember Buckner like a good defender. Jaric is an experienced veteran, even if more than this he is cooked, but his bad contract could be the reason  why Memphis accept the trade.
Memphis would still have is draft choice, and Boston would still have his MLE & LLE to fill the roster.

(Real GM trade checker is a very funny stuff)

getting rid of Jaric is the reason you're stating they'd throw out the Mayo for Ray? ::)

Are you sure we can't get Rudy Gay, Conley, Hakim, and Arthur too? Hell, let's throw in their mascot too.

Is Wallace still their GM?
Seriosly, they lack veteran leadership, and Allen can gives them a lot. Maybe in a season they can learn how to win games. Moreover, how do you value Mayo & Gasol compared to Ray & his contract (expiring)?

I see Gasol as a young viable center, and Mayo as a young potential star.  Maybe you can use Ray's expiring contract to attract a super star in 2011, but you're not paying either of the two young guys a ton of money to start with, so you should have some cash to play around with anyhow.  I'd rather work on building around the parts I've assembled then blow it up again by acquiring a rent-a-vet in Ray Allen.

Then again, as you say, Wallace has done some odd things.
Yup

I think they (incorrectly) see Mayo as a stud in the making. So I don't think they trade Mayo, and I don't think he'd be a good fit for a team trying to win it all in 2009.

Also I think they are very happy with young Gasol. (P.S. We could have had him instead of Pruitt - D'Oh.)
