This is ridiculous. I am a Celtics fan who roots for the Celtics and posted on the blog here in the possiblity I could help the team and point out things that I notice in the NBA that really isn't given consideration from the media.  All I did was post stats that were facts about games this year.  More often than not I got ridiculed for what I posted and I had to hear time and time again from Celtics fans about how great the Cavs were.   All I got as far as stats were 66-16 and 39-2 at home yet everything I posted was 'cherry picked' and had nothing to do with the game.  Now after the series I am still being the one attacked and being told that whatever I posted still had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. All I wanted to do was contribute to the Celtics and share my thoughts about the NBA and now I am supposed to be the one who is doing something wrong.  I just don't think that whatsoever.

The thoughts on the NBA are appreciated, with the understanding that people can disagree with you.  However, I think the self-promotion rubs people the wrong way.  Starting "I told you so" threads, and calling for people to give you "props" isn't the way things are done here.  If you're experiencing any backlash, I think that's why.

I wasn't being disagreed with, I was just being ridiculed and being told about stuff like Mick Jagger and toast like that has anything to do with basketball.  I was treated the same way that the Magic were treated by people and the media.  Laughed at and given no chance to win. This isn't an "I told you so" thread or anything like that it is just a reaction to the end of the game, a series in which ORL won and Lebron lost.  Those are the facts they are not there to embarass anybody and its not stuff I made up. And I don't know how being asked to give props is such a big deal.  It is a simple saying with simple words just asking for the recognition that so many Magic fans deserve, it is not meant to do any harm but since so many people are against it I won't use the word "props" any more.  I just feel that even after an ORL victory I am being treated the same way that Lebron has treated the Magic.  Just go on the bus and leave, not acknowledge the media, and not show any congratulation to the team who won.  I felt that the Magic played Celtics basketball and the Cavs did not display what so many Celtics players have shown throughout the years.

I've always rooted for the Celtics and hoped they win because they play team basketball and show class as players and an organization. However after reading posts by so many people on here who are supposed to be Celtics fans I am dissapointed and will most likely just root for the team and watch the games, but not look to converse or share thoughts with others.

I want my props for calling this series and saying ORL would win, as soon as I put my stats up for the Cavs people responded quickly left and right to tell me I was wrong but I was right!!

don't see any garbage there, don't blame me for the Cavs losing I don't play for their team.   "I'm a winner" yeah that's such a terrible thing to say.

Just because we disagree with you doesn't mean we aren't Celtics fans. Still, sad to see anyone holding negative feelings for Celticsblog--sad to see you go. Regardless of our disagreements, we both root for the same team. Go Celts.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

There is no such thing as egotistical grammar, its simply words typed into a computer.  There is nothing egotistical about it. Trying to say someone can't say they are a winner is ridiculous.  What are the Magic going to do, go to the locker room and hang their heads down like they lost, I guess they can't call themselves winners either.   And being disagreed with is OK, but who actually agreed with me and said ORL could win the series? That's the point

This thread is contributing pretty much zero substance to the board at this point.  If people want to discuss the Cavs loss, or Lebron's performance, please start a new thread.
