what about getting Durant in 2011, it didn't work in my video game but is it realistic?

How awesome would it have been to sign Mickael Pietrus last summer. . .

There are several names continually mentioned in trades and free agency that are not coming to the Celtics for a variety of reasons. I thought it would be helpful to start a list.

Here are the first two that come to mind:

Trevor Ariza - hates the Celtics... has mentioned it on numerous occasions... not likely that the Cs would be a top destination

James Posey - if the Cs didn't pay him last summer when the economy was better (read: more competition for Posey's contract v. less competition for similar talent this year), why would Ainge reverse course? Because the Cs were injured this postseason? I just don't see it happening...

Are there any other players out there with justifiable reasons for not coming to BOS - either on the players end or the Cs end?

Re: Posey.

Easy. Ainge was dead wrong about passing on him last summer, plus he'd afford a chance to get rid of Tony Allen.

ridiculous.

If the Celtics offer Ariza $1M more than the 2nd best offer he gets, he'll immediately sign for them.

They won't though; and for equal offers, he'll stay in LA or play for a team where he's offered a bigger role.

Hatred is over-rated. We make Ariza the highest offer, he comes here.

Vin Baker is not coming to the Celtics.

Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp aren't either.

Not to mention Isiah Thomas, Bill Laimbeer and Little Lord Fauntleroy.
