I think I speak for most Celtics fans, and probably most NBA fans, and DEFINITELY Cedric Maxwell when I say goodbye, and good riddance. It has nothing to do with the fact she was a woman, but the fact that she was just terrible at her job. She wasn't fired, but is leaving the NBA for some other womans officiating overseer job. Hopefully we can weed out these terrible referees one by one.

The article says she will continue to ref in the NBA

Quote
Violet Palmer will become coordinator of women's basketball officials for the West Coast Conference and continue to officiate in the NBA, where she has worked for 12 seasons.

Dear whoever wrote this initial article for ESPN or the NBA,

I hate you more then you will ever know. Thanks for getting my hopes up and tragically dashing them. Jerk.

Sincerely,

Anyone who cares about officiating in the NBA
