Here's my proposal on how to revamp and rejuvanate the celtics. Trade number 1

Boston Trades:
Ray Allen
Rajon Rondo
JR Giddens

New Orleans Trades:
Chris Paul
David West
Hilton Armstrong

Trade 2

Boston Trades:
Tony Allen
Brian Scalabrine

Phoenix Trades:
Leandro Barbosa

New Boston Lineup:
PG Chris Paul / Gabe Pruitt
SG Leandro Barbosa / Eddie House
SF Paul Pierce / Bill Walker
PF David West / Big Baby
PF Kevin Garnett / Kendrick Perkins

I think this lineup really beefs up our front line and we could make a small aquisition to help out bill walker at SF.
Just when you think they've got the answers....

 I change the questions.

I understand NO is in finacle difficluty but why would they trade us the best PG in the league and one of the best young bigs for a PG downgrade (who they would have to sign to an extension) and an aging SG?

I'm a little more clear on why PHX might not hang up right away, but i still think that's not goign to peak there intrest.

you could be right, it may be more realistic for them to trade tyson chandler instead of west, but from NO perspective rondo is still a great pg and he may not command max dollars like CP3 did, thus saving NO alot of money down the road

Regardless of how unrealistic this trade is wouldn't having West and baby as back-ups make us really small up front?(you see I doubt Doc would start KG at the 5 so KG and Perk start and then we have two undersized PF's backing them up)

New Orleans wants to cut "bad" salary not good salary, for that reason West and Paul will not be traded (and I don't see Armstrong leaving either).  Chandler, Predrag, Posey, Daniels, and Peterson are certainly available and I could see the C's moving Allen in a package for Chandler and Posey/Peterson/Daniels, but I'm not really all that enthused for any of those players for Allen (though I wouldn't mind Chandler at all, perhaps they will take Scals, T. Allen, House, and Giddens for him).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Maybe sign and trade Baby to New Orleans with Scal and Tony for Chandler. Big Baby can be their center and they get rid of $6 million in salary in 2010.

Of course, Chandler didn't pass the physical to go to the Thunder so who knows how messed up he is.

I think Big Baby would be good for N.O.  he'd take on a bit of a leadership role there imo with his passion.  He, Chris Paul and James Posey would be the leaders in the IQ dept.  That is if we didn't get Posey back from N.O.  Bottom line:  N.O. needs a morale boost and the ultra emotional Baby might spark them.

Nice to see Baby back in Boston too.

Dear All,

If I am the Hornets, I trade CP3 for Ray Allen straight up.  The dude has perhaps the greatest trade value in the NBA.

Signed,
The Trade Ray Allen Yahoos.
sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

West would be the starting 3. Pierce would be the starting 2.

Why were Armstrong and Giddens included?

I'd rather start Perkins at center than Chandler and Tyson makes too much to be a back up center.

Seriously, we need to stop with all these blockbuster trade proposals.  Realistically, Danny is looking for a couple pieces on the edges to fill out the rotation.  Our core nucleus of Pierce, KG, Ray, Rondo is not going anywhere in the near future.  They've got too much chemistry to be broken up right now.  Its getting the right pieces around those guys that is the concern; definitely not reworking the nucleus.  Just too much risk of one guy not buying into the system or understanding his role and screwing everything up.

Perk is going to stay. I think he has proved his value, especially defensively.  I love Perk.

How about a R Allen for T Chandler & J Posey?
Hate to lose a class guy and great shooter, but Chandler and Pose would bolster our front line.  Tyson and Perk would make a great tandem at center, and Pose brings back that long SF that can guard the LeBrons, while replacing some of Ray's 3pt shooting!
If you wanted, you could expand the trade to get A Daniels for backup PG!   ??????????
