"Here's another idea, how bout as D-12 you shut your mouth and run back on defense instead of jawing at a bench player?"  What? Run back on defense when he got an and-1. How about you take you free throw first. Watch Lebron during the 1st half of Game 1 after he got a dunk he did 10 times more, where was the techincal then?
"so your theory is the NBA forgot its own rules and thought 6 was the number you needed to be suspended?" Wrong you can't get to 7 if you only have 5.  They gave Dwight 6 so they can "set up" number 7 next game.  Worst call ever.  Not even close.

/yawn

oh wait, is this where am i suppose to summon up fake outrage and get on board with this crazy theory? missed my cue.

*clears throat*

"DArn the NBA! they can't get away with this! because of them and thier OBVIOUS conspiracy to have the cavs tie this series up, the magic now have to win back Homecourt advantage!!@!@#!#$!$!@$!@4 mugurglegurglegurgle!"

I mean, its just rediculous to think that the NBA was, as you claim, fixing this game for Cleveland so blatantly that everyone could see it, and then plum forgot it was doing it in the OT and let the magic win.

first the fix was in. Then the magic won after getting some deserved calls in OT, so then it became the NBA TRIED to fix the game, but the ref's, who had been so blatantly obvious about fixing the game for the cavs up until the last play, suddenly forgot that was the game plan and let the magic play.

So since that and a 3-1 magic lead don't jive with the theory, now were going to invent some crazy scenario where the NBA has set up a 3-1 series lead for the magic, but is planning to suspend the magics key player after ( i presume, correct me if im wrong, i don't speak craziness.) a game 5 Cleveland win.

This, i assume, will allow the cavs to win game 6 (because apperntly the ref's won't just be fixing that game, CLEV needs howard out) all leading up to a showdown in game 7. Its so simple, how could i have missed it!

all joking aside, let me ask you this. How will you reconcile the league fixing games so that the cavs make the finals when Orlando advances? (and they will advance, they are a better team than the cavs)

what will the new theory be then?

But Crownsy, you have to admit that the refs are seeing less and less fouls against the underdogs in both Conference Finals......This is getting ridiculous to watch at this point with the favoring.

can I make a Red Lobster analogy?

its like going to Red Lobster, they know they don't want you there, but they don't know how to get rid of you, so they advertise free cocount shrimp but then have none

yeah that makes about as much sense as the NBA trying to fix this series by almost suspending Howard with T's....

Worst call in sports history.  Nothing will ever even be close.  He dunked the ball and said "Yeah" one word and one emotion, gets hit with a techincal, only chance Stern can win this series if they suspend Howard for a game with another T.
You really don't watch much basketball do you?

Oh and just in case anyone takes you seriously this:
LeBron James is the worst player in the NBA. He makes everybody worse. His teammates, players who play against him, the refs, the announcers, the anylysts and experts, the integrity of the game.  Everything.  The NBA would be 10 times better if he never played.

Sure I don't think that was bad, but honestly with how much all players complain I usually give refs the benefit of the doubt on technicals.

Howard needs to keep his mouth shut.

T was rescinded today, so much for the OP - I wonder, does anyone have any info on the % of Techs and Flagrants that have been rescinded or downgraded by the league this postseason?  I know Howard's got 1 now, Kobe has at least 1, K-Mart had 3, in a row no less...it really seems like the refs are misapplying the tech rules to control the game (or in K-Mart's case, making reputation calls) and forcing the league to clean up their mess afterward.  Officiating is really starting to embarrass the league in the age of instant replay.

can I make a Red Lobster analogy?

If all Howard said was "yeah!!", it was probably a bad call. But sometimes we can't hear everything that's said and sometimes refs are fairly quick with taunting fouls to stop further altercations and fights from occurring. So, the call, looked at in that context, could have been justified.

I personally think the call will be rescinded by the league and that it simply wasn't a great call. To think that the refs did it purposefully to get Howard one more techinical closer to a games suspension is absurd.

Howard's tech for handing the ball to perk on the ground after a dunk was maybe the worst one I've ever seen

I didn't see the play, but this reversing of calls after the fact is getting ridiculous.  I like that they want to correct things, but how about teaching the refs before-hand, what a technical foul, flagrant 1, and flagrant 2 really are.  While it's nice that they are fixing them before someone gets suspended, these calls also have a big effect on the games in progress.

It was Scal and he dropped it on him after a dunk - I don't have a problem with that one, I think it was clearly taunting.  Besides, the worst T and worst ejection in history is either here:

What I want to know is what would the league do if they had to revers a t that gave a team a one point win as a result the night before? What if Cleveland won this game by one point, take away that rediculous t on howard and this game doesnt go into ot. This is one instance where one call could affect the game where its not always the case. I know one call shouldn't determine the outcome, and usually neve does. But giving a t is basically giving points to the other team. And if it ios done as an overreaction, then it can adversly affect a game.
