Worst call in basketball history-Howards gets a techincal

Worst call in sports history.  Nothing will ever even be close.  He dunked the ball and said "Yeah" one word and one emotion, gets hit with a techincal, only chance Stern can win this series if they suspend Howard for a game with another T.

I think it is because of this.  The call wasn't made to stop the Magic rally, like Stern usually does.  It was made for the simple fact to get Dwight to 7 T's so he gets suspended.  That's why it is the worst call ever.  It wasn't simply called for a T to stop a Magic run, it was made soley to try and suspend Howard for 1 game.  Now name another call in sports history that was made to set up a 1 game suspension of a star player and you can name a worse call.

Look, i think neither should be techs, these guys are grown men, they can take a little trash talk for the millions they make a year, but howard did waaaayyyy more than perk does for his "taunting" technicals which he earns for taunting, why should i have sympathy for d-12 being an idiot when our own beast gets Techs for staring stright ahead to long after a dunk?

I mean, its just rediculous to think that the NBA was, as you claim, fixing this game for Cleveland so blatantly that everyone could see it, and then plum forgot it was doing it in the OT and let the magic win.

first the fix was in. Then the magic won after getting some deserved calls in OT, so then it became the NBA TRIED to fix the game, but the ref's, who had been so blatantly obvious about fixing the game for the cavs up until the last play, suddenly forgot that was the game plan and let the magic play.

So since that and a 3-1 magic lead don't jive with the theory, now were going to invent some crazy scenario where the NBA has set up a 3-1 series lead for the magic, but is planning to suspend the magics key player after ( i presume, correct me if im wrong, i don't speak craziness.) a game 5 Cleveland win.

This, i assume, will allow the cavs to win game 6 (because apperntly the ref's won't just be fixing that game, CLEV needs howard out) all leading up to a showdown in game 7. Its so simple, how could i have missed it!



all joking aside, let me ask you this. How will you reconcile the league fixing games so that the cavs make the finals when Orlando advances? (and they will advance, they are a better team than the cavs)

what will the new theory be then?

dude, it was a bad call (and will get rescinded), but it was not the worst call in basketball history. we get it, you hate the cavs. that doesn't mean you should resort to almost comical hyperbole on everything related to their games.

Terrible call, terrible. The league is overdoing it for sure. I don't believe that their were instructions to the ref, though. Also, one more game and Cleveland is out.............yeaaaaah!
And once again, more importantly by far is the Denver Nuggets eliminating Phil, Kobe, the Lakers..............yeaaaaaah! That series is what really is important.

ok....while im not down with the conspiracy theorist, how are you really gonna hate on Howard for that if you are a celts fan?    Noonne can honestly root for KG and then hate on a player for jawing with players, coaches, or fans...KG has a monopoly on that.

I'm calling it the worst call ever because they obviously are trying to get Dwight his 7th T. You can't get to 5 wihtout 7.  If they keep him at 5 how is he going to be suspended?  Now they can suspend him a game with just one more which as you can see after tonight a T can be called on Dwight for anything.  That's why I'm calling it the worst call ever and rightly so. Becuase it was a call that was made to set up the 7th T call and had nothing to do with the play.  Now name another call in sports history where that happened, if you are unable to do so I stand correct.
