Time to fix our mistake. I tried to justify why the clips should trade this young/athletic 7footer to us, but I can't. I know one thing for sure with Blake Griffin coming to town, Danny Ainge should at least try to entice them. And you do this by either picking up Pruitt's option, or trading Billy Walker, or sending a pick with cash$$$$.

And then we can go ahead sign mcdyess, and resign BBD &Powe. Front Court SOLVED.

No no no no no.

He's a complete head case who needs much more time and maturity to be able to contribute to a championship contender.

Jordan wouldn't be a contributor, and won't be one any time soon. So he can't be depended on for next season and is a serious question mark for the year after that.

But he is a player I'd be very happy to have stashed away at the end of the bench .... which wouldn't be a problem as long as he's taking one of the other young prospect's roster spots and not one meant for a veteran.

I'd love to see what Clifford Ray could do with him.

Enough of all this Rasheed talk.  The guy makes POB look like a hard worker in comparison.  I'll take McDyess please.

A message to Danny:

You can only make a gargantuan reach for a big - like Jordan or your beloved Robert Swift - if you bring in another quality big first.

Ummmmmmkay?

NO more projects until we nail down some vets who can help us win next year. As we've seen before, young and athletic doesn't necessarily equal good NBA pro.

That not an argument. People also passed on Arenas (31), Michael Redd (43) , Manu (57), Tony Parker (28), Rashard Lewis (32), Mehmet Okur (38), Carlos Boozer (34), Mo Williams (47).

I don't think just trading for Jordan will "solve" our front court issue. I like him, and he was number two on my list of bigs from that draft that I wanted behind Jason Thompson, and I really do wish we would have taken him over Giddens but I don't think the Clippers will give him up and I think Rasheed is a better choice than McDyesse, unless Dice is willing to come for the min so we can *try* to land Marion or Artest with the MLE.

Why is Celtic nation obsessed with DeAndre Jordan and headcase Rasheed? Do you guys like to inflict harm on yourselves?

Dude do you guys who want to get Rasheed think the craziest guy in the league is going to sit on the bench. He's not like Grant HIll - he already has a ring, so he'll make all the trouble he can.

I am amazed you are even putting them in the same sentence.  Yes, Rasheed is completely insane, but he is also a tremendous basketball player who brings the exact skillset that this team needs, and would be an absolute steal for the MLE.  Jordan on the other hand is a project big man who has never shown any thing more than the occasional flash of skills, and has drawn more questions of his desire than praise for his production.  He is basically Patrick O'Bryant reincarnated.

Perhaps Rasheed is a bad idea, because of his head, but Jordan is simply not a good basketball player.

I'll do you one better...they need to secure TWO quality bigs (since neither Powe or Davis is a lock to return) before going after any projects.

Do I wish Danny had taken Jordan over Giddens? Yes. Do I care to trade for him now as a solution for 'one more run'? No.
