If we get Rasheed ....

the Celtics, between Perk and Sheed, will lead the NBA in technical fouls!   ;D

Throw in Garnett and you lead the league in profanities also.

I think (and hope) that Wyc has McDyess in mind. :)

I'd much rather aquire a battler like McDyess or ZaZa.  Someone willing to fight for important rebounds and compete.  Rasheed usually just goes through the motions.  And why does he get so infuriated at the refs, when he's not competing that hard anyway?

"The ball don't lie. The ball don't lie!!"

One of the announcers (Doug Collins, Reggie) mentioned how Sheed would always exclaim this at missed FTs.

I think Sheed would be a lot of fun. He would bring some of that lost Posey energy too.

Ever since i first saw that video last year I've been saying "Ball don't lie"

BUt in truth...if you watched all 7 against Orlando..the ball, he lies a little bit. Turkoglu makes him lie.

Ray Allen also has the powers to kill the karma that lies within the basketball.

Ray Allen doesn't need to kill the karma, Ray Allen's free throw shooting is so good that he alters the past to make the call valid.

Seriously though I cannot remember when it happened, I think last year in the playoffs..but there was a tech called on the other team for like..nothing. Kinda like the tech Dwight got when he handed the ball to (baby I think?) our guy on the ground..and Ray Allen, Mr automatic, missed the free throw. The ball don't lie.

the more I think about it, the Posey persona is something i really miss from last season, and another reason I would like Sheed in the fold.

Man, him and KG would have some fun for sure.

I'm starting to think about it like he's already here. I gotta take a step back methinks.

You already ordered the customized Wallace jersey, didn't you?

That's ok. You can put it next to my green Mutoumbo jersey. I also have a rarely used Batista jersey in the back.

if that would show that he is wanted here then i'll put my order in right now.

I'll say McDyess.  He should be more cost-effective than Rasheed.

I've gone back and forth on this, but i think I have arrived at Sheed because of his length and ability to step out and hit that three.

Length is such a big help in our Pick and Roll defense and something we lacked off the bench this year.

not unhappy with Dice by any means, but just giving the edge to Sheed because of a few added elements he brings to the table.
McDyess is by far the Pistons best pick and roll defender.

Sheed is by far the Pistons worst pick and roll defender.

Sheed's legs are gone, he doesn't have the athleticism he once had, and physically incapable of covering the pick and roll at a high level. It's not a question of desire/motivation, he doesn't have the legs to the job anymore.

This is the biggest factor for me.  I know we need more scoring, but pick and roll defense is what we need out of our big men.  Not shooting the 3 so much.  Our offense was lacking, but I have to think we will be bringing in a backup wing or two for that.  The big man we sign has to be adept at pick and roll defense.  It killed us in the Orlando series.  While it would be fun to root for Sheed, give me McDyess and I'll be very happy.  He's my #1 big guy target out there.

Sheed's defense is pretty underrated IMO.

The reason for that is basically all on Sheed himself because he has a history of not giving full effort.

but I think we'd get full effort here for the short window he'd be here. He doesn't like losing, and part of coming here would most likely be to recapture that winning feeling.
