Call me stupid but I'd trade Tony Allen way before even thinking about dealing Scal.

Scal's ability to play/defend multiple positions is extremely underrated as is his basketball IQ.

Scal = untouchable

Scal's expiring contract makes him anything but untouchable, if you can get good bench help out of TA and scal's deals, you do it in a heartbeat.

That said, I have no problem keeping scal, he's a good 9th/10th man on this team.

Plus if we really want him we could easily send cash to arrange for a buyout and then resign after the waiting period. Happens all the time.

I really don't want Tony back next year, and his getting deep-benched during the playoffs couldn't have helped his modest value in trade.

Scal's another beast altogether.  He proved himself admirably, given the limits of his talent, this year.  He's a smart and versatile teammate who can play big.  He played three times as well as his first subpar years here.

But if a really worthwhile young veteran with size only gets here because Scal's tossed into the trade, so be it.

I love Scal, but one more concussion and he's not going to be very useful to the team anymore. Maybe I'm just paranoid about these types of injuries. I think we should find deals for Scal while he's still ok.
