I have been thinking about how we can try to keep the big three together for one more year, AND add some overall strength to the squad to make us compeititve next year.

The only solution I can see at this point in time is to trade Ray Allen since the big three take up so much cap space that we arent able to facilitate any potential trade winners at all.

So, there are two options:

1) Trade Ray Allen since he is a big bargaining chip being in his last year of contract and try to move Scalabrine and Tony Allen along with him. It would create around 26m which gives us the chance to re-sign BBD, Leon Powe and Marbury and add 2-3 strong players making the roster more competitive.

OR......

2) The Big three would take some sort of paycut, let´s say 2 million each in order to show ambition and allow Ainge to shop for a good PF/SG next season and keep the Big Three together for one more year.  I dont know how it works out or if it is possible but I think some sacrifice needs to be done and would show that they are not only in this for the money, but also to win things.

What are your thoughts about that, C´s fans.
In Danny Ainge I Trust!

1) The idea is to make the Celtics better not worse

2) pay-cuts are impossible under the NBA CBA
