I wonder if Sota would be interested in trading him? He i believe is recovering from a Torn ACL so i am not sure how healthy he really is but he would be a great defensive guy to bring in and maybe even a long time replacement for pierce. He is 6;9 with great length. Can knock down an open three here and there but is just a great defensive guy. Would you like him here in Boston giving that he is healthy.

I'm not sure that MINN has any reason to give up on him at this point...

I also don't know if we would take a chance on him. He's injured and hasn't proven anything when he was healthy. He would basically be another project such as walker or giddens.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I like Corey Brewer, a lot.  However, even if we could get him, I don't know that he's a good fit for our team.  As Doc Rivers said yesterday, this team needs veterans, not inconsistent young guys.  The time to win is now, not in the future.  We need sure things, not projects.

(Good for Doc, too.  See my article on the front page for some of his quotes.  He has me all fired up, because at least *somebody* in the Celtics management gets it.)

For a second there, Roy, in your front page note I swore I read the following quote from Doc:

"Robert Swift ain't walking through that door."

I need to calm my excitement over Doc's perspective.

Absolutely not.  We don't need a taller Tony Allen.  We need a shooter at that position.

Like Roy, I'm a fan of Brewer.  However, I also just don't think its the right fit for this team to go after a project/injury rebound gamble type.
