not that he played bad but because of the opposite reason to that. Frankly he was exceptional in the latter part of the year and especially during the entire playoffs playing like a seasoned vet.

Weighing from what bbd was quoted on the article i truly don't feel like he wants to comeback but rather wants to play for a team that he can be a starter plus wants to make near mle money.

Don't think danny will offer him more than 3 million dollars for 3 years max and he is prob looking something closer to 20 million dollars for 4 years type of deal

who else feels bbd may have played his way out ?

i love baby but if he leaves for big money, i will be happy for him, but think some team will soon regret it

dont get me wrong,,,he was great, but thrived off being our 4th option, with a great playmaking PG and great scorers....giving him big money would be a mistake
Looking for a Sig designer....obviously i will be greatful with tps.

Looking for a Wire - Rondo theme....PM with ideas and I'll tp

  • Rondo = Good
If somebody really thinks he's worth $5-10 million dollars then best of luck to them, but really he's not more than an undersized yet solid backup PF / C at this point, and I'm not sure I see him developing much beyond that.

As much as I'd hate to see him go, and as much as it would hurt the future of the team, it's not worth it to try to hold onto him by paying him a ton.  Yeah, he's certainly earned a far higher paying salary than his current one, but not anything above the MLE.

lol whoever signs him is going to be sorely disappointed when they see how well he performs without Ray, Pierce, Rondo and Perk.

I don't see it happening.  Anything more than Scal money is drastically overpaying the guy.

I think that right now he's not worth that money... It would be fair to sign him for $10-12 million/ 3 year contract. I don't think the MLE can be spent on him. Maybe I am wrong but right now I think his value is not bigger than that. He is still developping though.

The Projo just recycles the same old info everyone's heard already here.  nothing new.  This particular reporter hasn't shown any particular insights into the C's or the NBA in general since he's been at that paper.

much ado about nothing.  BBD will most likely get a few offers probably in the 3-4 mill/year range.  If C's can get him for 3 mill/year or less for 3 years, great.  Over that amount needs some serious thought.  I really like the guy---seems like a positive person on the team and lockerroom as well as someone who can contribute off the bench.  He's just not good enough at this point to be a starter.  The playoffs really exposed his inability to finish around the rim.  so many times I saw missed shots within 3 feet of the hoop that I thought Leon would have just elevated and stuffed without hesitation.

I was about to say something similar.  So if the Projo says it, it makes it so. ::)

I don't think any contending team out there wants BBD to be a starter for them. (We didn't either, but were forced to).

I do find it funny that a lot of people write that 16 and 5 on 49% shooting in almost 40 minutes per game in the playoffs is "starting forward" caliber.

Starting 4s get a hell of a lot more than 5 rebounds per 40 minutes.

Maybe someone's tv went on the fritz every time Rashard got the ball or Gortat  got a rebound standing flat-footed behind Davis. Other than that I'd be surprised.

If I ran a poll on who would you rather have Glen Davis or one of Rasheed Wallace / Antonio McDyess about 95% of you would select McDyess/Wallace.

Bottom line is we need to improve the PF/C spots.
